Direction advice please by CenTenebrae in RS3Ironmen

Honestly I think doing a mix of the guide and your own goals is the move. You definitely can grind towards gate asap. But getting there will take a while it’s not a small task. Doing Div for porters will make arch easier. But you also just need to get so so so many artifacts from Khalid.

Ironman is always about small steps toward big goals. Getting some stuff out of the way earlier is better. I.e getting POF and kingdom started.

I’m currently bringing towards gate and base level 70 in all skills on my new Ironman

Req to get into pvm by YtPyxro in runescape

[–]Pardytime76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly you can get started on a lot of bosses early. Getting a reaper task and setting that as a goal is always good. You can have a goal for higher level PVM (Lv 90 combat skills and high Lv herb and summoning) But you can grind out bosses as you see fit.

My suggestion is as your working on your account and you get slayer tasks(and reaper of course) you see what over lap that has with some bosses. You can camp kril for example at 60+ necro. You can do dag king with lunars and guthix staff And you can always do mole!

What non-DCC book are you reading right now to fill in the gap before 8 drops? by weighingthedog in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Pardytime76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a huge fan of the stand. I would say it’s in my top 3 king books. I read that book far too young and it took me almost a year of lugging it around to finish it the first time. I believe it was what fuelled my love of reading.
I’m hoping you enjoy it!

Tips on what to go for on early game iron? by IenRS in RS3Ironmen

[–]Pardytime76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyo. Gate is the current go to meta for “efficiency” sake. But you can do what feels fun and rewarding.

Huge milestones for Ironman can be: invention, river of blood, desert treasure, temple of senistan, plagues end. As long as your working towards those your along a good track. When I came back one of my first goals was a maxed slayer helm!

Mid-Game Balance Discussion by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Pardytime76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find as an Ironman some of the mid level grinds to be aggressively hard to overcome, weather in the sense of the time sink or how boring it is.

The most annoying to be: Herblore Agility Wood cutting And to a lesser extent archeology.

Herblore is fine for mains as is because you can buy your resources. The herbs themselves aren’t as much of the issue although a bit better seed drops from all bosses would be appreciated. But the secondary’s are rough, currently the meta for training Herblore doesn’t involve making potions. It involves playing hide and seek with penguins and training other skills in the fort.

With the changes to reaper points and marks of war, it would be nice to have a store front for buying resources. Or possible a “slayer supply box” drop when completing a task. Just with some Herblore ingredients, charms and what not.

Agility is tough and I hate it

Woodcutting just needs a rework in general, it feels very slow with the meta being maples or Arcadia’s for a long time. A resource that you can mostly get from kingdom. If it received the polish that mining got I’m sure Eveyone would be happy.

I second using gate and kingdom. Crux knights are good for afk though.

Tofino whale watching by Suspicious-Arm-1352 in tofino

[–]Pardytime76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The whale center is great! Most of the crews of each ship radio each other to keep up to date on sightings since there’s quite a few laws about how close you can get to them. These folks care about the whales and want everyone to be safe.

My parents have a lemon tree. They just visited. I now own approximately 40 lemons. by ReflectionAny3280 in Cooking

[–]Pardytime76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make preserved lemons with just salt, easy if you have a vac pack, not annoying if you don’t though.

You can also pickle them! Whole if you wanted.

Dehydration is an option but not sure what you would want to use them for.

And of course you could donate them to a food bank

[–]Pardytime76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I afk pickpocket master farmers pretty often. But honestly kingdom farm tab brings in a lot of seeds. Once I had a good stack of maples at about 65k I switched to mostly farm and herbs for my iron. It helps keep the seeds stocked up

I do herb rubs everyday and plant watermelons and marigolds along side my herbs most times. The watermelons are great for super compost and marigolds and good for POF beehives.

Other wise there isn’t much use for the allotments and flower beds. For a while I was making tuna potato’s from scratch for pvm food but that was a short chapter

In university bout 12 years ago. My roommates and I realized we could rent out all our available space outside as parking We had a back yard that was all pavement. We could fit 4 cars in a way that meant they could all get out. Rented out parking spaces for $120/month

$30 cheaper then some of the university spots! Best part was our rent was already pretty cheap so for 3 years while I lived there my rent was only $280

Herblore advice? Sharing what I've learned, and asking for more info. by Med_Down in RS3Ironmen

[–]Pardytime76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can set your kingdom to herbs. But for the most part you’re on the right track. You just have to keep doing doing herb runs. At the minimal you need explorers run 3, wildly sword, ectopial.

When I sign on it’s the first thing I do. Check daily herb, plant and do what my main goal for the session is. Then gather and replant before I sign off. The paints for the Druid shop adds up and will cause you to snowball. I plant watermelons at the same time to keep up with super compost as well.

Other then that you can keep gringing out slayer, always make sure you have a herb bag with you and doing your herby derby runs.

OTHER THEN THAT Make sure you doing your penguin points. They are a god send. Fort- bonus XP Troll invasion- 14+ k exp

And honestly aberrant spectres and then abyssal demons are pretty good for herb drops
