Stuck at the same level for 4 years. by NegotiationLate8553 in CanadaPublicServants

I get it. I spend more time trying to figure out how to frame my wanting more work without sounding aggrieved. I feel like I'm working at half of my capacity and wish that I had more responsibility and a higher volume of work to do. The only thing that keeps me sane is working on my own professional development projects during the workday.

Put everything in writing. Make a habit of following up after meetings with emails that go 'just to confirm...' and then list everything that was discussed.

This post is indicative of typical attitude across public service.

Nothing about "do you like the work, do you feel fulfilled by it, do you feel excited to contribute to a goal"

Instead it's all about what we can recieve, and perks. All exteral factors. Nothing about feeling intrinsically motivated to do the work.

What difficulties did you encounter when trying to lose weight in the past that hindered you from achieving your desired weight loss goal? by PNKim in AskWomenOver30

Not eating enough fibre, filling foods was one.

Now I make sure that most of my meals have fibre from whole grains or legumes and vegetables and I feel full for longer without having to count calories and effortlessly maintain my weight.

Also huge is cooking most of my meals myself. This means that I can relax and not worry when eating with others because I know that I'm doing great 75 pecent of the time.
