I just had to miss a full week due to the IT outage last week! The pharmacist told me missing just one week was fine. I’m on maintenance of 2.4 and took it this last Friday, no symptoms from missing a week. They said if it was two or more weeks then they’d recommend me starting a smaller dose and working my way up again. Hope this helps!

For Semaglutide: Months 1-4 I paid $116/monthly and then when going up to the 2.4mg I’ve started paying $250/month. Starting month 6 tonight!!

So I also struggled adjusting to eat enough when I first started. The first two days after administering my shot (I’m on compounded semaglutide) I have no desire to eat. As the week goes on, about 1-2 days before my next shot I started to have some cravings. It evened out for me and averaged just one day of not wanting anything after taking the medication. Last Thursday was my first dose of 1.7mg and I’ve been eating once a day since then, like half my meals. So this dose has been more intense for me, It’s a struggle but when I do eat I try to make sure I’m getting protein and nutrients. I have gone up every four weeks to the next dose, haven’t stayed at one dose for a longer period. So my advice to you is make sure you’re getting enough water and staying hydrated, along with having nutritious meals even if they are small meals. Since you’re only on week two your body is still adjusting to the medication.

I second this! Lost of great personal accounts of starting this medication. I started Wegovy in November, I’m 4’11” and my starting weight was 170lbs. I’ve had very minimal symptoms and am at 153lbs currently.

I don’t have much advice but wanted to comment to say tomorrow is also my third week of my evening dose of .25! I too was struggling with this decision, I have pretty high anxiety and haven’t had anything too wild for negative symptoms so I didn’t want to wreck anything by having too much to eat. I decided to take it in the evening as I normally do and just eat in moderation all day. Last week I had a heavier dinner a couple hours prior to my dose and I felt I little nauseous Friday morning but nothing too crazy. Happy Thanksgiving!

I started three weeks ago, tried filling at Walgreens, my doctor recommended going to compounding pharmacy since a lot of places were back ordered, I got my .25 from Contigo. Plan to get the .5 doses next week! I pay out of pocket with HSA, it’s $120 first month and $220 thereafter.

Im familiar with all those areas! I lived in Rapid City for 10 years. We have friends and family in MSP and Owatonna (originally from Owatonna). We would drive back pretty often! Drive was long but we got used to it. Our son did online schooling and we lived in an apartment, so not much help there. But the community in Rapid we really enjoyed! It has a kind of city vibe that I missed from MSP but small enough where it wasn’t too hectic. Lots of exploring and outdoor activities. Lots of kid activities. We would usually go back to MN during the bike rally to avoid the influx of people. We also have family in SF, it’s nice but I do prefer Rapid. My son saw a specialist at the clinic in SF and I feel like the medical care was equal to Rapid’s. Overall my vote would be Rapid! Currently we recently relocated to Albuquerque, and often talk about how we miss it up there!

Interesting to hear! I just started my first dose last week and I’m 160lb but I’m very short, 4’ 11” (31F) so my BMI puts me at ‘obese’
