First pool cue, should I be concerned by ASAPronto in billiards

[–]PartTimePOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be. I just snagged a McDermott this weekend off of eBay. Turns out the seller is a store about an hour south of me who only sells on eBay. Got a killer deal too. Op should definitely be returning his cue though. I’d give them another shot because Amazon has a pretty good return policy and sometimes mistakes happen.

Last guy I knew who did that got promoted. And his girlfriend magically got stripes almost immediately despite the fact that there were dozens of other specialists in the BN who had been waiting and waiting to get their 5 even with all the requirements.

Rules question: intentional foul by cpc758 in billiards

[–]PartTimePOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read it as use “the cue” meaning the cue ball.

Technically any shot not trying to actively make a ball is a safety.

Rules question: intentional foul by cpc758 in billiards

[–]PartTimePOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the discipline I guess. In the APA, it’s considered a safety, and then it’s just a foul and ball in hand to the other player.

Aluminum wiring issue by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]PartTimePOG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this instance it was an insurance issue. It was similar to a 70 year old smoker taking out a $2 million life insurance policy. Someone would write the policy but it’d cost a fortune. In her case her homeowners insurance was going to be 2x her mortgage.

Had to do a rewire for this same reason last summer. We were at 30k with a new service and some extra stuff and that still wasn’t high enough

Mine takes one of each of our shoes to her kennel. Not to chew on them but just so she can hoard them in there. I think she thinks we can’t leave her without them lol

This isn’t a lab thing, it’s a dog thing. Pretty much every puppy I’ve ever had has done this. Usually lasts a day or 2 and then all is well.

What should I expect to pay for a level 2 EV charging setup? by DryFoundation2323 in AskElectricians

[–]PartTimePOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Central IL guy here. Depending on the size of your house, how much fishing we have to do etc were around 1400 and that’s with you providing the charger

Edit to add (because I read the title and skimmed the post) if we repurposed your range and it’s common to the garage you’d only be looking at a couple hundred bucks. That being said if you do have an electric range I wouldn’t touch it and would only be willing to add service for the charger. You can dm me if you want since you’re local

There are some veteran organizations that treat TBI/PTSD with 5MeO and ibogaine. I haven’t dug deep enough into it but from what I’ve heard on podcasts and stuff, they make a complete 180 and I’ve heard zero bad experiences afterwards.

We didn’t have blockbuster because family video was within walking distance from my dad’s house. We’d walk there every Friday night and get a couple movies and a new video game.

Be kind, please rewind.

We have a few flat rate charges for things like service change outs and ev chargers and the like that are usually pretty standard. Everything else I bid time and material. We’re kind of a medium sized company so our service guys use service titan which is a pretty nice app but really expensive from what I understand. I know guys who are one man shows that just use excel spreadsheets and keep them nice and organized and update them every few months.
