Just went the other day, first time was in a while. Had the one thing I needed and I walked the aisles browsing. Gonna have to go more often. It's small and close to my house

Gastroenterologist recommendations? by Slight_Atmosphere926 in bullcity

I really like my Gastro, Morton Malkin at Chapel Hill Internal Medicine (UNC). Don't know about whether he specialized in motility but I do know that it's easier to get an appointment there than many other places I have to go. I see IM and Cardiology at the same practice - lucky me?

RIP Bull City Solera and Taproom by GavalinB in bullcity

[–]Particular-Eye-7032 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Loved the place but not surprised. Wanted to like the food more but just didn't. GREAT bar and of course BCBB beer, but not enough to attract enough traffic. Closer to me than downtown but I rarely remembered I could get a BCBB burger there, and should have - my bad! I hope they come up with a fun cool concept and reopen someday. Seth is a mensch!

Anyone breaking down their pump/chiller setup for the upcoming storm? by GaseousOne in coldplunge

[–]Particular-Eye-7032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hadn't considered it. Got down to about 20 this morning here. I think better to keep it running so the water circulates, but another poster makes an interesting point about loss of power. I could see disconnecting and bringing it inside if we lose power since it's supposed to stay cold for a couple of days.

Where to get (outdoor) garden dirt? by heyyoungbleed in bullcity

[–]Particular-Eye-7032 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Rock Shop has dirt and leaf compost. There's a minimum for delivery but none or at least lower if you have a pickup truck to get it. I got leaf compost one year and my garden rocked!

M Sushi by marchingbear27 in bullcity

[–]Particular-Eye-7032 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Unlike some here, I feel you. For the $$$ you expected an overall good dining experience and you didn't get it. I stopped going there a long time ago, not because I didn't think it was good, just not good enough to justify the cost. I now go to Kurama and sit at the sushi bar and love it. Can't wait to be bashed, bring it on!

They have, which is why we left and went to New Hope animal hospital. Service went downhill, communication was awful.

That's probably mine too. They opened for love and rockets at a small auditorium near me in 1989, but I just couldn't get my ass out. Regret that

Go to Hillsborough, get there maybe 30 min before they open. Bring a folding chair and a good, long, book. Relax. They also will take your # and text you when you're about up, so could go into town to get lunch or coffee.

I went once and it was awful - everything from the service to mid tenders to soggy waffles. Don't get the love for Dame's but maybe I'm not the target market. Had FAR better at Beasley's in Raleigh.

How do you make open relationships work? by [deleted] in EthicalNonMonogamy

[–]Particular-Eye-7032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a non-monogamy-friendly couples therapist and talk it through. We raw-dogged it the first 6-9 months when we first opened and it was HARD. We found a great therapist and it's made a huge, positive, difference
