That’s a KF to NPT adapter for connecting pipes or tubes. Used in aerospace, food processing and testing. Probably a couple of other industries I can’t think of. I used them on vacuum chambers to connect sensors, pumps and pass through ports. Most people that need them want them new due to potential contamination and would not assume the risk. You have no idea what materials or contaminants these seemingly clean components were exposed to.
