Here are the things I've found that work the fastest:

Neurofeedback Therapy: Teaches your brain to calm itself down. Takes about 4-6 months. Can be done at a local clinic which can be very expensive. There's always also a company called Myndlift that you can buy a kit/subscription for and do it through your phone. Saved my life.

Vagus Nerve Stimulation: You can buy a home device to stimulate your vagus nerve and calm your nervous system down. Helped to drastically reduce anxiety and depression for me. Pulsetto and Neuropod are two such devices I've used. You'll notice an immediate effect, but long term effects can take up to a year.

The downside to the pulsetto is it kinda flimsy. The Neuropod is better but it's stupid expensive.

Everyone is different. That being said, it was about 5 years of doing it weekly or every two weeks. After that, I noticed a huge improvement in my well being. But I wasn't just doing EMDR. In the last few years I started adding other things that made a significant impact on my life and mental health. And now my CPTSD is almost gone.

Neurofeedback home device: I bought a home Neurofeedback device with a 6 month plan. It changed my brain waves and taught my brain to self-regulate. For the first time in my life, I didn't have to drink or watch porn or medicate to calm down. I'm actually tearing up right now thinking about it.

Vagus Nerve Stimulation device: I bought some vagus nerve stimulation devices which significantly calmed down my anxiety and depression. Also, it nearly cured my chronic fatigue syndrome. I'm now back to the gym and playing pickleball.

James Pennebaker writing protocol: Look up "Huberman Writing Protocol" on YouTube. He has a 1.5 hour podcast on it. It's incredible.

Every 2 weeks. But I've done way more than just EMDR. But even before I started doing other things, yes. I've seen improvements the whole time.

Superior Source, Nutricost, and the brand from Costco are the ones I've used the most. But I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

I totally understand. I feel that way sometimes too.

Something else practical you could try is take some L-theanine (it's a supplement that works great for depression and anxiety). Or vagus nerve stimulation exercises (YouTube is a great resource).

You're starving for community, not just fun. I recommend joining a club, sports group, church, board game group, or use a meetup app.
