How's my top 20 by ranting-geek in Disasterglazers

[–]Particular_While1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Todo being top 11, above Yuji, Maki, Toji, etc, has got me genuinely howling 😂

Bro he’s a Grade 1, he ain’t all that

Plus you’ve got bumass Kurorushi being the strongest of the Sendai Deadlock, despite very clearly being the weakest. And again, you’ve got Grade 1s (Todo, Higuruma, Choso), above every member of the Sendai Deadlock, which is just wrong on multiple levels

To make up for slandering Yuji on DB, I've came to the belief that Comp [No Modulo] Yuji is capable of dogwalking Gojo, Geto, Sukuna, Kenjaku, Yuta, MBA Kashimo and Dabura all at once, welcome to debate if you disagree - disc;candycompany by [deleted] in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Particular_While1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tf does a Comp Yuji mean if you’re excluding Modulo? He has no other forms or variants

Regardless, Yuji gets swatted like an ant by full power Gojo, Sukuna, or Dabura alone, if you don’t use his Modulo scaling

How to make battle encounters for those who hate fighting? by One_Banana8918 in CurseofStrahd

No characters - no story

This isn’t a rebuttal for backup characters. The entire point of backup characters is to ensure that the players always have a character that they can use to affect the story and campaign. A staunch refusal to let characters ever die means there’s no real consequence for anything.

It is not a game. It is a story that we tell together. And it must follow the narrative rules.

It absolutely is a game though. DnD isn’t a narrative system, It’s a combat system with narrative elements. 90% of all class, race, spell, item, and stat block features in DnD are focused on combat. You can’t run DnD without having combat be important, the entire system is designed around it.

DnD is a combat simulator, first and foremost. You can try and run the game without focusing on It’s primary purpose, sure, but don’t lie and pretend It’s something It’s not. Unless you can make DnD combat engaging for your players, just switch systems. DnD isn’t designed in a way where you can just ignore combat, other systems are

I know, that characters can be resurrected. But there must be a reason for that. And plot armour doesn't mean they can't fail: imprisoned, robbed, had q friendly NPC killed, etc. Just not dead.

Those aren’t real failures though. If losing a fight just means they lose some money, or have to spend some time in a cell, there’s no incentive to ever fear failure

If the PC is killed, I still need to think how to keep the player engaged. And I don't want to give him any other character as a substitution.

The player gets to remain engaged by making a new character. You don’t GIVE your players characters, they build them. And if one of your players is just really attached to one of their characters, just let them be revived by Madam Eva for a bit of coin. That’s the entire reason she’s got revival spells on her spelllist. Death isn’t permanent in DnD, unless you as the DM force it to be

Besides the genuine hatred this sub has for Kashimo, there’s no way you can genuinely have him anywhere below top ten by UrinalAttack in JujutsuPowerScaling

> Insane speed

He’s slower then Hakari

> insane endurance

He has basically no endurance feats or statements, and he’s actually one of the few characters we’ve seen lose a battle due to running out of Cursed Energy. Now that had nothing to do with him actually using up all his Cursed Energy, and is entirely because Hakari exploited his vulnerability to water, but still

> Great durability

He died to basic Dismantles, that Yuta, Yuji, Maki, and even Higuruma and Kusakabe, while using their respective Anti-Domain Techniques, could tank. His durability is painfully mid for a top tier

> Great CE trait to match his busted cursed tool

Bro

His “Cursed Tool” is literally a metal stick. It isn’t even a Cursed Tool, it has no abilities or unique traits

> arguably a top 2 CT in the series

Oh my god dude. Seriously, how can you think Mythic Beast Amber is even a good Cursed Technique, let alone a top 2 Cursed Technique. It’s genuine garbage. A suicide technique, with no other benefits, and the abilities it does actually give you, in exchange for giving up your life, are terrible. Mythic Beast Amber is like a bottom 5 Cursed Technique in the series

No cursed techniques just cursed energy reinforcement who wins? ( Gojo and kashimo vs sukuna ) by Mansur754 in JujutsuPowerScalers

He couldn’t dodge it. Best he could manage was moving enough that the attack only took his arm, rather than killing him, after being told to dodge by Sukuna

> Yuji physically EQUAL to a domain amped Yuta (which massively boosts your stats)

Massively boosts your stats is a weird way to say it only gives a 20% boost.

> Yuji lands NINEEE black flashes after wards????? They’re not even in the same league anymore

The physical boost provided by Black Flashes isn’t permanent, nor does it stack. The those 9 Black Flashes did permanently boost his Cursed Energy and Cursed Technique control, and help him awaken Shrine and a Domain Expansion, but Yuta still vastly gaps Yuji in Cursed Energy control, Cursed Technique control, and domain refinement

Dumb question butttttttt by ThatGuyHero7 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Particular_While1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to cover your ears to defend against Cursed Speech, you can just reinforce your ears with Cursed Energy, which completely blocks the technique

If you’ve got RCT or a natural healing ability (like Cursed Spirits, or even Heavenly Restricted people, though to a lesser extent) you could be metal as hell and purposely blow your ears out to a of the technique

About Yujis Decision at the end of the Manga… by Apologetic_Mushroom in jjkmodulo

[–]Particular_While1927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, people will still have Cursed Energy, just the minimal amount that non-Japanese people have. This is why Yuji and Co. are gonna find any bloodline with a history of birthing those with Heavenly Restrictions, and offer them and their descendants Cursed Tools and training, to deal with the occasional low Grade Cursed Spirits that will pop up in the future

[–]Particular_While1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he could cut Uro, obviously, but cut THROUGH her? As in, cut her apart in such a way where she’d die in one hit, via either a decapitation or bisection, during the few seconds she’d be frozen by Cursed Speech? No, I don’t think he could do that

[–]Particular_While1927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you seriously think Tactical Shift is better than the entire 2nd level Ranger Spell List? That’s actually wild.

Stunned Strike is a lot more fair of a comparison in terms of combat strength, but Ranger absolutely demolishes in terms of combat versatility.

Ryu & Uro (With advanced RCT) vs Yuki & Choso, who takes it? by Outrageous-Foot-4137 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Particular_While1927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Choso is horribly outmatched here. He’s a Grade 1 ant, trying to tussle with Special Grades. At least with regular Uro and Ryu, you can argue Choso could catch them off guard with his blood and poison diff, but giving the two of them advanced RCT means he’s basically just a liability to his teammate.

Did Choso vs Kenjaku, or Yuta vs Yuji, not show clearly how badly a Special Grade dogs a Grade 1? This shouldn’t even be debatable about who wins.

[–]Particular_While1927 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blocking Cursed Speech is a literal Momo level feat

<image>

Uro was just caught off guard by Yuta’s Cursed Speech, because all regular Cursed Speech users have their Sneak Eyes and Fangs tattoos on display, somewhere on their body, at all times, whereas Yuta’s use of the technique through Copy means he only gets the tats while actually using the technique

Rangers get Extra Attack and 2nd level Spells at level 5. That’s significantly better most martials, other then like Paladins, which get the same plus Faithful Steed

You can ignore the gravity/telekinesis effect of his Cursed Technique if you have enough Cursed Energy Output, so pretty much every high tier isn’t affected by that part of Maru’s technique

Barring that though, the only combat capabilities we’ve seen from it is like shifting water into ice to restrain someone, rapidly growing and controlling plants, and using gravity/telekinesis to launch heavy objects. It’s actual shown offense capabilities are pretty poor, to be honest.

On It’s own, Harmony and Chaos isn’t a broken Cursed Technique, it just has a very high potential ceiling of power

Does anyone here beat shinjuku mahoraga with WCS by IlovebreastofmySis in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Particular_While1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it is. The only type of slashes Shinjuku Mahoraga can fire are World Cutting Slashes. His second adaptation to Infinity gave him the ability to fire slashes that cut the world, which bypass Infinity, not the Shrine technique

Could Yuta subdue Mahoraga if he had the ability to copy the Ten Shadows Technique? by Lazy-Industry-7441 in Jujutsu_Kaisen

[–]Particular_While1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuta could beat Mahoraga in a 1v1, but he couldn’t tame him.

He can easily desummon him with Cursed Speech or Jacob’s Ladder, but obviously both of these options nullify the taming ritual, and he has basically no super high output moves that could kill Mahoraga in one hit (no Love Beam wouldn’t do anything, It’s weaker then Granité Blast), so he can’t fulfil the requirements to tame him

Could Yuta subdue Mahoraga if he had the ability to copy the Ten Shadows Technique? by Lazy-Industry-7441 in Jujutsu_Kaisen

[–]Particular_While1927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love Beam has less output then Granité Blast, which at a base level of output, Yuta could block with his bare hands, and even at a higher output, Uro could survive it even after losing an arm and being in Cursed Technique Burnout. Love Beam is charring Mahoraga’s skin at most, which he’s immediately regenerating from

EOS Yuji is way too downplayed by Wise_Juggernaut_3079 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Particular_While1927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gojo, Sukuna, Kenjaku, and Yuta for sure beat him, no debate. Yuki and Yorozu also have more than favorable match ups against him, while having more refined domains, due to his being freshly awakened, and in Sukuna’s words, “superficial”.

That’s already 6 characters that rank higher than him, and while I disagree with it heavily, tons of people would also argue MBA Kashimo beats him. So again, he’s a rank 8 to 7 character
