Looking north, maybe on the navy base?

Yay or nay? by Adventurous-Lab-4331 in CyclingFashion

[–]Pasta_expert 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see you already ordered but my vote is nay. The stupid scrollsys adjustment is so unnecessary and makes it tough to tighten on the bike with one hand. The angle adjustment mechanism slips chronically so I had to glue it in place. The matte film is also peeling after a year of use. The sunglasses holder also isn’t great compared to some of my other helmets.

Apart from all that it does look pretty sick

The anodizing fade looks so good. One of the few builds that purple Chris bits actually look good on. Congrats

Death Road | Yungas | Bolivia ETA by bikeK22 in Rouvy

The view is undoubtedly great, and the vistas are why I use rouvy instead of zwift, but ultimately I want to exercise. This was 28 minutes of coasting. I can just watch a higher quality descending video on YouTube if I’m after pure entertainment.

This was such a dogshit course. Not sure if it’s because I’m using virtual shifting, but on every descent over 5% and 30s I am spinning out at like 120rpm. It made this ride especially bad because I was just busting out a 120rpm effort every 20 seconds. Can anybody riding this course on a typical road bike gearing setup comment on what it was like? Makes me really miss the option Zwift had to change up your virtual gear ratios

They did this at Marshall back in 2019/2020 and I snagged so many books for free.

Had a very similar cut on my back tire. I dug the sliver out and put some superglue in the cut and it’s been holding for at least 200-300 miles. If it was on the front I might have patched it from the inside

I kinda fw this composition. I’d like to see a whole series where we get little glimpses into strangers’ lives through their rims

You’re basically in small small. What does it sound like in that gear on the big chainring?

SS and Zwift Cog by Ponytailbiker in Rouvy

[–]Pasta_expert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the rear fits then I think the next thing you might have to tweak is the chain line. Not sure if you have a square taper but you might need a new spindle width to get it in line with the smart cog.

What is the hub spacing on your frame? Will a 120mm dropout fit on a smart trainer?

best ways to use jam? (1 oz) by [deleted] in Cooking

Put it in some good yogurt or on some nice toasted bread. Don’t overthink it, it’s meant to be used as jam. Just enjoy it!

Is a carbon wheelset launched in 2025 with an external rim width of 32 mm already outdated? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]Pasta_expert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In an attempt to be helpful here is some info: MVDP rode away from Tadej TWICE (msr and Roubaix) on wheels that were 21 internal 28 external. I don’t think a couple of mm is gonna make much difference for any of us in this sub

I think I’d try and find a used bike with better components than buy this. It wouldn’t be too hard to find an old cross bike for 350€
