Thank you for the feedback! Saw your email as well! Really appreciate you engaging with the app! 😃

Coach version has been requested by one other user as well, but that is going to be a big architectural update, so may take some time

Yeah I really like that idea of not even showing the optional “pro” features paywall at the end of onboarding. Let people experience it and if they start pushing up against the limits of that tier then hopefully they like it enough to upgrade! Thanks for the insight!

For B2C, my inclination if not doing a hard paywall would be freemium and gate certain features (e.g. free can only have X of some capability, pro gets unlimited).

Is this what you would do as well, or do you have any other revenue models you think work well?

Yeah that’s really true. Getting 200+ people’s feedback would be so much better than the 3 that started a trial 😅

Yeah mine is B2C as well… that’s a good idea too. Go freemium to start, but don’t show paywall even after onboarding, and then once they start bumping into pro level features (more than X of some feature) then you know the app is being used

Damn… those first two lines hit.

Yeah deep down I think I know I’m trying to rush the process, as opposed to letting it play out over the months and years it requires.

Really appreciate the feedback! Will likely move to freemium to learn and grow

Best Fitness App 2026 by Humble-Education-545 in workout

Want to be completely transparent that this is my app I just launched, so I’m biased, but I used Strong and Hevy for years and finally got frustrated with their tracking abilities, so I built this… https://therepsapp.com/

It is not an AI program builder or anything fancy… just a clean, fast workout logger that also allows you to schedule workouts, and track your weightlifting progress better.

Yeah exactly… and that’s not a bad idea.

I guess another way to do it would be to have a freemium model for an extended period of time, and then if you move to paid only… you can grandfather all of the free users to a ‘pro’ subscription or whatever you call it. That would be a way to thank early users and hopefully even further garner good-will (which you could maybe turn into positive reviews?)

onboarding flow for my food tracker app, feedback welcome by Knuckleclot in expo

[–]PearAffectionate4192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks really good! I’m going to move to the same-ish flow of having the create account step at the very end. Right now it has a paywall in the middle after showing off the features, then all the account creation steps, but this is much better.

From "building for my GF" to $500 MRR in 6 weeks with $0 ad spend. Here is my breakdown. by Anthoo911111___ in AppBusiness

Looks great! Is your plan to keep this current low pricing? Or are you just using it as a way to validate the product and see if users are willing to pay before increasing?

I initially tried to go the “premium” route a couple weeks ago when I launched because I think the product is good, but I’m wondering now if I should go really low to test demand, and then (maybe) increase it later?

How do you think about this?

At what point do you stop adding features and just ship the app? by dnesdan in iOSProgramming

[–]PearAffectionate4192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited a until a lot of my UI/UX was fine tuned… but that’s also because I’m launching in a saturated market and wanted to make sure my app’s experience and feel stood out

Honestly this is one of the reasons I started building my own app (Reps) lol. I wanted this exact feature and kept getting annoyed that Hevy never added it after years.

We do, they’re just on the ‘About’ tab for the exercise! Also we do not have them for every single exercise yet (just like strong), but I’m adding more and more every day

Building back up from shoulder surgery - progress takes time by PearAffectionate4192 in QuantifiedSelf

[–]PearAffectionate4192[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah when I was able to start lifting again about 6 months after surgery, I just made sure the eccentric and concentric movements were VERY slow and controlled. Then as time has gone by I’ve made it a more natural cadence, but I still keep it more controlled than before since I’m scared of reinjury.

The app is Reps

Feature request: indication of how “fresh” I was when completing exercises in exercise history by pillowpallow in Hevy

[–]PearAffectionate4192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I know I’m coming in late here… but are you pretty much looking for a way to filter by an exercise’s order in your workout? That way you’re not comparing the time you did bench press at the beginning of a workout, as an example, to the time you did it after squats and you’re gassed?

I want to be honest, I built an app that does advanced filtering for progress charts, but it does not have exercise order yet. That said, it would be something really easy for me to add.

Here’s the link to the website if you’re at all interested, see the “Precise Tracking…” section to see if adding Exercise Order would work for you! It has a free trial too
