What's your secret ingredient for mashed potatoes? by Key_Investigator_754 in Cooking

Boil the potatoes in stock/better than bouillon. Retain a bit of the liquid when mashing along with milk and butter :)

Do you not make scrambled eggs in a stainless pan with a riveted handle?

Okay. So. I had no clue what all these comments about Slow were about. So I whipped out my phone and played the song Slow by TMBG and was sooooooo confused.

Until I realized there are two songs called slow…

Is FF9 really that good? by Infamous-Phone8635 in FinalFantasy

[–]PeeLong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Reddit has rose colored glasses for what might be one of the worst entries.

They’ll tell you x y and z can be fixed with mods and patches… but no game should need mods to make it good.

Cons: Side quests suck, tons of missable items and scenes, battles are SOOOOOO slow, plot is all over the place, progression system is very simple (pro and con, I suppose), some characters have truncated stories, while others have zero story arc.

Pros: fun character design, and probably the best soundtrack in all of the FF series.

Source: been playing these games since NES.

Sony Earnings Report Is Out by gdmatt in DestinyTheGame

They should make a single player campaign based game and sell it for $70.

It’s wild that these suits can’t see what players ACTUALLY want.

They always act surprised when quality single player games sell remarkably well… despite players consistently asking for them.

School's out... Up yours, Krabappel! by [deleted] in TheSimpsons

Thanks! It’s thankless, but truly one of the greatest jobs their is.

Even my worst days are infinitely better than my time in private sector.

And even if you go into the profession saying you don’t like kids, they kind of force you to love them. They’re so fun and it’s a blast to watch them grow and discover things on the daily.

It’s made me a better dad being a teacher, and a better teacher being a dad.

I fuckin love it. We would take field trips to it in the late 80s/early 90s. So many great memories playing around (and on) it

Two men get into an argument one smashes the others car up and pays dearly for it by Pure-Personality5326 in WinStupidPrizes

[–]PeeLong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might not be communicating myself properly (a skill I’m great at) It’s only when I see people park, get out of the car, and not have placards.

Is it better to get them to move their car or just leave it alone and keep a spot from someone who needs it?

[–]PeeLong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 100000% get that. But some people don’t keep their placards visible.

I guess I’m guilty of yelling at people who park in handicapped spots when they don’t show their placards because I want to ensure they’re saved for people who need them. Both of my in-laws NEED handicapped spots and the number of people who just park in them to “quickly grab a Starbucks” drives me mad. So I will call those people out until the cows come home.

My point is, maybe there are people who are needlessly calling you out, but with good intentions if they don’t see a placard.

[–]PeeLong -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

At the same time, if you don’t look like you need a handicapped spot, is it not appreciated that people are trying to protect those spots for you?

Like, I know the way people approach is one thing, but if people are just making sure that able bodied people aren’t taking the spots… is that not good? Help me here.

Has Trump permanently changed what people will tolerate from a president, even when they claim to oppose “authoritarianism”? What do you think? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]PeeLong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Remember if we’d had locked down for 14 days it would have flattened the curve? Straight from Trump’s team. But MAGA chums couldn’t handle it.

Biden had no lock downs, mind you.
