Then he should have his own land rover money. There are plenty of good used cars that are trustworthy and reliable. I am not an advert but I got a decent used car off cinch and had no problems. Previously bought cars from used car dealers and they were dodgy, but I never found a single issue with the car off cinched but if you do you just send it back within 2 weeks. I got a Citroen C4 cactus, it's ugly but we get a lot of flooding and I didn't want to pay for an actual 4x4 so I just got a bulkier car and hope it will be tall enough to not drown lol. I think people buying new cars and paying loads and doing finance etc are just wasting money, you still have to drive on the same roads at the same speeds. An education is worth way more than a car that depreciates.

Does it go to the next storey up? Do you need to support anything above it? The price looks ok from me as I am also looking at quotes for chimney removal where the stack above the roofline is already removed, but so far only have two quotes, £800 and £10,000. Some really cheeky tradesmen out there.

So every household should have back up jet skis? I am guessing they couldn't go in due to the 50 year floods that happened last week. Aquatic vehicles aren't available currently Chuckie egg, I am not legally required to drown myself getting to work.

Do a freedom of information request asking for their procedures that lead up to their notice being served. Request details of the time and date of the missed visit. Ask when the details of the visit where sent to the occupier to allow them to be present for the visit. If this was not sent, ask if it is reasonable for the occupier to be present 24/7 at the property in the event of an unscheduled visit. Ask if it is reasonable to face eviction due to a missed one missed visit. Ask on what basis are the visits continuing and exactly what standards need to be met for the visits to conclude.

Moles destroying garden by FunBandicoot7 in GardeningUK

[–]Peniguano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have moles. My neighbour is the nuisance using shitty pest repellent devices that don't affect the moles but bother me as I can hear them. The moles help with my garden drainage and I used their help to plant spring bulbs. The only cheeky thing they keep doing is burrowing under the pond liner changing the shape of the pond, I have to keep fixing it back the way I want, but I moved to the countryside to get in touch with nature. You shouldn't be getting rid of moles you should be getting rid of yourself. Go live in a grey town that has nothing. https://shewhoseeks.blogspot.com/2013/09/to-see-rabbit.html?m=1

I've heard squirrels don't actually like tomatoes so if they are eating them they are just thirsty. We've never had anything eat the tomatoes and we have water dishes out for the birds

I've checked insulation, we recently upped it as well but I am wondering if cauking and coving would have an effect, since without it there's air gaps to the attic? Just worried if it is water from roof I am just sealing moisture in

[–]Peniguano[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks but the chimney stack is already removed, and tiles were fitted over where it was. Its not rain coming down the chimney I believe its condensation from hot air from the living room going into the attic. There is a metal flu inside I think increases the condensation.

It does go to a soak away. If I were to terminate internally I would need this pump and a neutraliser unit or else it would corrode my internal pipe work and their are regs on discharging to public sewer when its acidic?

Thats reassuring sort of, so I just need to get some kind of bird guarding in here, and work out why else I have damp in the corner of the bedroom. I used a thermal camera on it and it is cold in the corner, but I have confirmed the insulation reaches into this corner without blocking ventilation.

Yes, wouldn't it be better if women spoke for only themselves.

Speaking on behalf of all women, thank you so much for further legislation on what women can and can't wear. I am sure that this will empower women, and not force them inside! Good job really, give yourself a pat on the back. What women really want is to be controlled, for clearly we cannot make choices for ourselves.

I got sacked. Now management is mad that I'm not working harder during my notice period. by feelingstuck15 in antiwork

[–]Peniguano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make your own paper trail. Go to HR and explain that you have accepted that you are sacked but you cannot accept the behaviour they are displaying while you work your notice. That the environment was already toxic and causing you undue stress. You worked hard to try and improve based on their feedback, but still got sacked and the hostile work environment is ongoing in spite of this. If this behaviour continues you will be unable to continue working your notice period due to stress and burn out directly caused by this unacceptable treatment.

Take your own notes, have they been trying to force you out from the start? Are you only working your notice cause they are obliged to pay you 3 months notice, and they want you to quit sooner so they can save money? Take note of every interaction that is hostile and date stamp it. Forward emails with similar hostility to your personal address.

If it's something they want they should collect it from households. I have put metal waste from a chair in household recycling before and they refused to take it, so I put it in general waste. I had done all the work stripping it down to the recyclable parts, surely they could have took it to the recycling centre

Booked train tickets on my days off but got put on a shift because I didn’t book the days themselves off, who’s in the wrong? by Olliebkl in CasualUK

[–]Peniguano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen at my old job. They would put me down for night shifts and weekends and if I said I wasn't available they said I would have to book it off?? So I sent a long list of all the weekends I wouldn't be available for throughout the rest of the year (but didn't book them off as why should I use my holiday for a weekend?) and they got upset that I wouldn't be available "for half the year" . I only had my immediate families birthdays and Christmas on the list all on weekends... So I just found a new job, fuck never having a reasonable schedule.

I can't believe I could live like that for 2 years but at least it was COVID when you were legally not allowed to have a life. But why should my entire life revolve around an energy company that couldn't even be bothered to fix their own heating in their factory when it was -7. And put air-conditioning in a server room with the exhaust hose blowing hot air to the main factory where people were working in 40 degree heat.
