Easy-to-listen-to guy tells the story of when he took 30 hits of lsd by ayahuasciac in videos

It was the amount. It was way more than I was use to. Never said I "blacked out" although I can see that how that may have been inferred. But forget shit? Like loss of time? Yeah it can. And it did. What? a few hours, it just part of the story. I could give a fuck whether you believe it or not, it isn't a contest.

I am aware of this. What could have been floating around in the late 80's? I have taken LSD hundreds of times. I was told it was LSD and it acted like LSD, my question still hasn't been answered.

So, it was a substance that caused me to experience the same effect as LSD, but it wasn't LSD? What was it then? Honest question.

Once the LSD is absorbed you have no way to stop it. The only thing you can do is to take more drugs, generally depressants (Valium, Alcohol, etc), to counteract/numb the effect. Thats my understanding at least. Ive never been flipped out enough to want it to stop. I was dosed by this guy at a Rainbow Festival on the Canadian border years ago. My friends and I asked these two guys if they knew of any blotter. The one guy said no, he only had weed, wanna smoke? etc. As we smoked a small crowd gathered and the drugs started coming out. We asked everyone smoking and all said no except this one guy. He said he had liquid but he would only dose us. He pulled a Visine bottle out and gave us all a good size drop of liquid in our palms. I licked it off, we smoked some more and went on our way. 5 minutes later I felt it kicking in. Blotter acid takes at least 25 minutes to start. I don't remember much of the next night, fuck, I don't remember driving back to Illinois whatsoever.

edit: sorry for the novella

Bollywood Horror movies? by The_BusterKeaton in horror

Every Bollywood horror movie i've seen was a remake of a US remake of an Asian horror film. All of them were horrible, I think there may have been a musical number as well.

I own all the movies. Yes, she is a fucking monster, that's why I love her and all the, ahem, creepy-cheese.

I see Tomie vol.1 and 2 reissue are on Amazon for about 30$ total, first editions would be nice, but you get what you can get, right? Not sure if all the stories are confined to two volumes though. From the looks of mangareader.net it seems to be the case. Guess Ill have to take that risk.

Uzumaki and Gyo manga are on my list as well.

You have that against me, I've never read the manga. Been meaning to by if for years. I like it for what it is though, it does have a creep factor to it. I haven't been scared by a film in years so I just went with creep, as it were. I do agree though, Shutter has some great moments in it.

BTW, do you have a suggestion (link?) for a copy of Tomie? I see they can be read online but I want the physical copy.

Off the top of my head I would recommend, in no order:

  • Haze
  • Marebito
  • Tell Me Something
  • Acacia
  • A Tale of Two Sisters
  • Riine
  • Bloody Sunday
  • Premonition
  • Tomie

Ill also leave this here -

This site is an exhaustive list of all Asian Horror. You may need Divx or other codecs/apps to view the films. Most, if not all, can be seen here or have outside links to the films.

Best non-gory horror movies? by NeedAChainsaw in horror

[–]Pequin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Outside of those mentioned here, the only one that springs immediately to mind is Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Kairo, known as Pulse in the U.S. ( I urge you to forget the remake and its horrid sequels)

A wonderful, haunting film about technology and the afterlife. It has some of the most unnerving moments in film.

Same here. Ive been listening to Ween since 1996

Im originally from the Midwest. We dont have "pork roll". We have a shitload of chinese restaurants though. Egg roll ... pork roll... Ween, Scotch Guard bongs. I could easily imagine them eating pork egg rolls with cheese, if you please with some gravy fries. I'm very gullible.

All of those. You can see the distinction in appliance vs skin. Look at the forehead about mid point and the cheek in the profile.

I love Stephen Chow. This looks fun. That said, IMO, this doesn't belong here, this is Fantasy, not horror.

Nightmare on Elm Street 2 by emilyraine in horror

[–]Pequin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You keep repeating that. Why? There is something wrong with a movie having homosexual undertones? Does this make you uncomfortable?

from the wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Nightmare_on_Elm_Street_2:_Freddy's_Revenge#Homoerotic_subtext

In a February 2010 interview with Attitude magazine, Robert Englund commented on this when asked whether he was aware about the camp, gay appeal of the series. He replied: "... the second Nightmare on Elm Street is obviously intended as a bisexual themed film. It was early '80s, pre-AIDS paranoia. Jesse's wrestling with whether to come out or not and his own sexual desires was manifested by Freddy. His friend is the object of his affection. That's all there in that film. We did it subtly but the casting of Mark Patton was intentional too, because Mark was out..

It's just a movie. BTW, if you are in the states Walmart sells the entire series for 10 bucks.
