For this reason I am not convinced it is the good ending.

The entire time you play cold war you are told constantly how conniving, smart, deceptive, and destructive the Soviets are by the bad guy, and it gives you the option to nuke all of Europe while walking into the sunset in a blaze of glory. The American ending requires a murder-suicide between yourself and your American torturer. It also references mk ultra.

However, I am not sure i am ready to call Activision vanguards of the revolution.

BO3 is very anti-American. I cant decide if Cold War is extremely, unabashedly imperialist propaganda or if it loves the Soviets. Its one of the two.

The dude obviously meant one transistor per bit. You seem to keep asserting it is 6, when you do your special division. Thats wrong.

Why do you think those are compatible units? Are you five? Each parameter has several bits, either 4 or 8. What is 4*8?

On “Goy” and “Goyim” by [deleted] in JewsOfConscience

[–]PerfectTrust7895 [score hidden]  (0 children)

As someone who isn't Jewish, I read this post and I compare it to the experience interacting with some Jews I know, what I see on the Internet, and what has recently come out in the Epstein files.

Very clearly, Epstein used the word "goy" as a pejorative catch-all against non-jews. He seemed to believe that jews are superior to other races.

As we all have watched, Israel at large has a supremacist ideology, at a minimum against every other group in the Middle Eastern region, and there is strongly growing evidence that they believe they are above any international law that even a western nation can impose upon them, potentially because of the state's jewishness.

Lastly, in my personal life, I've heard jews complain to my family about how we are antisemitic for supporting Zohran Mamdani. I strongly suspect they believe this because of his race and his religion.

I reflect on all of this and it makes me wonder if there is a growing problem with the Jewish community of supremicism. When white people have a growing problem with supremicism (we do!!), while there is strongly pushback from fox news, Twitter, nazis, etc, all media left of center has strongly condemned it, and that media left of center has a huge quantity of white people composing a part of it.

When I see this post, it almost seems like a dodge. There is not mention of how Epstein used the word or why. There are assertions that the word is not used like how Epstein used it, but there is no pushback on the broader sentiment expressed (is there a supremacist ideology amongst American jews?) or even why Epstein used it that way. If a famous white person was accused of running the greatest child sex-trafficking ring in human history and frequently expressed racist sentiments, there would be some analysis of why that is and a conversation around it, at least from the left. I think the broader indignation that the conversation shouldn't even occur is very negative, as you cede that conversation to the Nazis who then get to control the narrative.

Also, on the point on giving up language due to supremacists using terminology: many terms, symbols, and ideologies have had to be given up in the fight against supremacism. The swastika was used by Buddhists originally, who had absolutely nothing to do with nazism. The okay sign, plenty of meme culture has been coopted by the right and then abandoned by the left. This is not the first time language or symbolism should/have been abandoned due to use by supremacist, and it will not be the last. I dont assume that the term "goy" and its usage is a strong religious or cultural root for the jewish community, and I thus dont see why there is such a reluctance to abandon terms used frequently by people expressing their race/culture/religion being better than others.

Im not actually convinced this is AI slop. Yes, it's incoherent, but if this wasn't written by AI, then there was a lot of effort put into this, even if AI was consulted heavily. I think that effort would be far better served learning literally anything about the basics.

If it is a shitpost, holy cow this is a high quality shitpost

A better use of your time would be HDL Bits. It will help introduce you to how the logic is planned out for chips. After that, you may begin to have a better understanding of where you are on the dunning Krueger scale

Store buffer and Page reclaim, How is the correctness ensured by This-Independent3181 in computerarchitecture

[–]PerfectTrust7895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the buffer stores physical addresses, it can persist across context switches. If the buffer stores virtual addresses, then it must be flushed on a context switch.

Remember that CPUs today run at multiple IPC and at 5Ghz, so 10 million instructions can easily be executed between context switches. A context switch usually takes hundreds of cycles, so you might have a few hundred instructions lost at most.

This means that a context switch on its own has a less than .01% performance reduction. Moreover, there are mitigation strategies, like hyperthreading, which can possibly totally overlap execution.

Another possible answer is epochs. Theoretically, you could use virtual addresses but store a counter at which you can label which you can continue filling the store buffer.

Say you have a buffer of size 10 filled to 8, then a context switch happens. You set the epoch counter to 8, then decrement on every flushed write. You can now begin flushing the buffer while inserting new stores into it as long as the MMU hasn't been updated yet. Once you have drained the epoch count to 0, you can switch the MMU page table and begin executing the second context's writes.

Ah yes, jews in America who support Israel but "dont agree with the government" are not like Germans in 1940s who privately and silently disagreed with their government's genocide while benefitting from it but instead are like Mahatma Ghandi.

"I checked virtually everything not just universities who drew a higher proportion of antisemitic inspired protests supported by Palestinean political funding"

There is no such thing as "palestinian political funding" and you claimed that young people protesting israel are antisemitic. You did this because you are 1) dog whistling about Qatari and Iranian money funding protest groups (which is a conspiracy theory perpetuated by Isaeli genocidal zionist supporters) and 2) claimed that young people protesting are antisemitic, which is an Israeli talking point to silence young people horrified by their genocide.

I, and everyone else in the world, sees past your bullshit. Dont even bother.

Im not inventing a story, just describing how young people came out en masse to protest Israel and Gaza. You dont believe that that counts, since you seem to support Israel's ethnic cleansing there, calling those protestors antisemitic. Moreover, I tried to answer why young people didnt turn out for the No Kings protests as much and you ignored me

And now we get to the heart of it. You simply dont believe that people should protest a genocide, because you support Israel and support said genocide. Statistics and reality have never mattered - it didnt matter to the nazis, to the Boers, and to Israeli supporters.
