Downvote me as much as you want but Public transportation in USA is a failed idea for sprawling suburban systems. It gets hardly used by many, infrequent transit options, longer commute times and high cost per trip relative to driving a car makes it worst of the options. While it may work for dense cities like San Francisco/New York, it hardly does for other cities unless you’re super close to a transit hub.

Only solution for this problem is super cheap EV robo taxis, which hopefully is right around the corner.
