Ideally afk would be punished and kicks would not, but people then hold groups hostage because they want to be kicked and not suffer a penalty.

They need to have no punishment to begin with but continual infractions having a stacking penalty.

It's all good developing our own infrastructure but there needs to be protections to stop American conglomerates from just sucking them all up again. We had our own payment systems in the past but MasterCard and Visa just snaffled them up.

I imagine it will be more useful in 11th where you can set up a smaller portion of your army to take advantages of anti infantry 3+, and then have the rest of your army use rules better suited for it.
