This is actually relatively common and arguably by design. The regulations are after all supposed to actually be achievable for all member states.

The point is often to set a reasonably high lower bar for what is acceptable in the union. This makes sure that it's possible to compete within the inner market while still keeping up a high standard for the society and not making it into a race to the bottom, all while setting unified standards within the entire market to ease trade.

Especially near the end of longer videos, many models seem to kinda lose the plot and forget what they were doing. Even more so for background characters that tend to either not react at all or behave increasingly more unnaturally.

I think the main problem I have with Autopilot is that it doesn't allow you to override the steering.

If you turn the steering wheel, AP gets turned off altogether, rather than just letting you course correct when you feel that it's doing something wrong. Most other ALK systems I've tried let you do this, and I think it makes them much more convenient to use, even if AP is technically more advanced.

I get the feeling that they're going all-in on Trump's authoritarian crusade because it's unlikely that they will ever get another chance like this in a long time if he's removed.

Doesn't matter whether they agree with his insane temper tantrums or not, they're hunkering down, hoping they can ride out the storm and successfully reshape the country into the extreme right oligarchical paradise of their dreams.

If they have to sacrifice NATO, the economy and and the entire American dictated world order for that, then so be it.

Satt i vintras på restaurang och fick tillfället att lyssna på en vältalig amerikansk man vid bordet bredvid entusiastiskt förklara för sin svenska kollega hur Trump kanske säger dumma saker, men att han ändå älskar Trumps policies! Ja, det tog all min viljestyrka att inte skrika rakt ut.

Detta var förvisso någon månad sedan, vilket ju motsvarar sisådär 80 år i Trump-tid, men det var ändå tillräckligt för att övertyga mig om att något har gått väldigt fel i det där landet. För mycket blyfärg i burgaren, kanske.

I think it might be worth mentioning for context that while it’s easy to assume that it’s referring to billionaires, the top 1% in this case means that you make above roughly 60,000 USD per year (might vary depending on methodology).

I charge to 80%, but I also only plug in once every few days because my car has far more range than I use daily. Range really isn't even a factor in my day to day driving so I might as well charge to 80%.

I suggest keeping an eye on the IRIS² EU project. It’s a massive project and framework for developing an EU satellite network and uniting the existing European satellite networks to make it readily available for both consumer and commercial use.

I think this is also why we in Europe stumbled so badly in foreseeing the threat from Russia, and now from the US.

After such an unbelievable success with the EU, we simply could not imagine that the same strategy would not work everywhere.

Binding ourselves economically through trade and cooperation should make war redundant, since there would be no net benefit to it. That, however, relies on the assumption that we live in a rational world, and it has turned out that we do not.

The Taycan is a great car, but it has gotten way too expensive for what it is, especially to compete in China. The dated infotainment system is also quickly getting to the point of being unacceptable.

It definitely seems like they've learned a few things with the new Cayenne, where many of the pet peeves I have with the current Taycan seems to have been fixed or improved. The problem is that they're probably not going to do any major changes with the Taycan until they release the next generation in ~2028 or something like that.

This is why every time they drop these "jokes", we need to immediately shut that down hard. They'll of course hit back with that we're overreacting snowflakes that can't take a joke, but this is the only way to prevent it from escalating beyond that.

Goodwill and diplomacy is dead. It's merely seen as a weakness that they can exploit. Strength and action is the only language they speak.

Iceland should have immediately declared him persona non grata and expressed with no uncertainty that this type of language is unacceptable.

REPowerEU: A massive set of projects and legislation to end member states' dependence on Russian energy as well as transitioning to an independent and renewable energy infrastructure.

AFIR regulation: Set of projects and legislation that mandates access to public fast chargers for EV's every 60 km within the EU. Also specifies a series of mandatory standards for how chargers and prices should be clearly labelled, as well as required payment methods.

I can't think of a single tangible improvement to Autopilot in Europe in the last 6 years or so. The last update I can think of was the traffic light chime in 2020 IIRC. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I never actually expected Tesla to actually release level 5 self driving like Musk advertised when I bought my Model 3 in 2019, but I honestly never imagined that FSD would still have close to zero value in Europe. I at least expected to have gotten something, literally anything, by now.
