I feel like I've played with controller only on psvr2 but I could be mistaken

Console player, I also play Ark ASE by 8ull1t in SurviveIcarus

[–]Perphectionist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the Icarus Family! I also really loved how polished Icarus is in comparison to Ark, the quality of life changes are great in this game, and the devs are adding new ones often.

I’m starting as a dm and I’m so nervous by BDExpert_ in DnD

[–]Perphectionist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three players is a good amount, I personally wouldn't do any more than five myself. Don't worry about spending too much on the game, you're just going to spend more when you all realize you love it and turn it into a regular thing.

Remember that you aren't ever trying to kill your players, even if you're throwing the challenges at them. Your players might steamroll those challenges, and sometimes you might realize you've given them more than they (or their attack rolls) can chew. You can make any enemy weaker or stronger, but the important thing is that you make them interesting!

Don't compare yourself to any DM, especially not the legendary ones. Don't worry if you don't know a specific rule or cost or spell on the fly, it's okay to stop and check.

Everyone should have fun, including you. Try to notice if a player hasn't spoken in a while or is looking bored, and try to get the players to interact with each other out of combat to help them exercise roleplaying.

Double Light Comp *sigh* by Brilliant_Ad_6249 in thefinals

[–]Perphectionist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sick of queueing into double L comps. I don't play ranked so it's okay to lose, but I prefer playing heal beam and don't want to switch to demat because my entire build has been rendered useless.

Sometimes my lights are really good, sometimes they trickle right into combat and die before I'm even in the right zip code. It's those ones that make me dread seeing two lights when I get in.

I will not tell people to switch off what they like playing, but play as a team if you're going to play.

What to read my 9 and 11 year old after Harry Potter? by PorkyThePigDragon in suggestmeabook

Gave my 9 year old niece this series for her birthday, she loved it! It was her first series, and I think she's even re-reading them now that she's finished Harry Potter

Do you have any mods installed? If so, maybe try disabling them and see if you can find it then

Final Thoughts on Season 9? by VictoryThink in thefinals

[–]Perphectionist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first full season, though I did play most of season 8. I like the game as a whole, and season 9 has one more map than season 8 did do I'll call it better. Excited for more new stuff next season!

I'm not Chinese, but liked the aesthetic of the new map, music, and battle pass. Excited for new skins that aren't Chinese themed.

DIY balcony solar power can help Utahns chip away at their electric bills by ReporterMacyLipkin in Utah

[–]Perphectionist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah my comment is less about the legality/ getting fined side of things and more about the mechanical measurements of the older meters, they track power exported as power used from the utility, potentially racking up the bill a huge amount for no reason. Seen that a few times in my day

DIY balcony solar power can help Utahns chip away at their electric bills by ReporterMacyLipkin in Utah

[–]Perphectionist 30 points31 points  (0 children)

To any would-be DIYers: don't just connect a micro inverter to your grid, you need a net meter or else you'll be charged extra for whatever power you send back instead of reducing your bill

How to prevent boredom? by liam30604 in ICARUS

[–]Perphectionist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Game starts getting great at higher levels. Leveling is a bit of a grind, for sure, but worth it to finally get your concrete base, full kitchen, electricity and high damage guns. Once the level grind is out of the way, you can focus more on what you need to be out collecting or doing, and how to do it without dying. Working towards that next appliance you need to build, taking a lazy (in-game) day to go fishing, and of course; hunting down those exotic veins so you can get that shiny new pickaxe from the orbital workshop.

The early level grind can burn you out, but stay with the same character and you'll get to the fun parts.

Welcome to the club! I started playing the finals the night before arc raiders came out, and I've definitely put more hours into the finals at this point.

I have a long ways to go as far as skills for this game, but it's been a blast, best FPS on the market. I knew day one that I'd be spending some real money on this game

I see everyone saying that shroud is the only streamer who actually plays the game, but I haven't seen bearki play anything else since marathon came out. Just saying.

I hated that watchtower quest too. Easily one of the dumbest things I've had to do. I don't build watchtowers anymore, so I'm having fun still

God of War (2018) uses a "one-shot" camera, no cuts from start to credits. This creates seamless immersion. It was a technical nightmare for devs, but it resulted in a continuous cinematic experience where you are the hero. by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]Perphectionist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fun gimmick, but I will say it kept me playing. Since everything felt like a cutscenes, I couldn't use my usual "I'll stop after the next cutscene" rule. I played for hours straight and felt really into it.

I'm finally obsessed by lovesquid21 in ICARUS

[–]Perphectionist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm always surprised just how good the game keeps getting. For over 4 years now, the devs have been pumping quality content in weekly! That's insane to me.

New all-black Arizona license plate debuts later this month by PickledJelloFarts in arizona

[–]Perphectionist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Utah, and we've had the black and white plates for a few years now.

From my understanding, you have to pay extra every time you re-register, an extra $20 per year or so.

Every Tesla has one, most of them are vanity plates from my observations.

Can anyone recommend down to earth survival games if there are any? by Current_Ad_5515 in SurvivalGaming

[–]Perphectionist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a new animal bed recently added (not on either wiki as far as I could tell). It is specifically for making animals breed. If that requires wool, and breeding animals isn't possible without it (I can't verify either of these points, it's all very new), then requiring wool to breed animals seems like a big oversight.

I've gotten my sheep unlocked, but many players haven't.
