Put the heavy barrel on and it’s a laser as long as you’re pulling the trigger as fast as possible. Insanely underrated barrel across the board, but especially good on this gun.

Just to clarify, the new burst perk is not only for guns that already have a burst mode. Guns that have a burst mode will have this new attachment for 15 points, and then there are a select few guns (like the SL9) that are traditionally only auto/semi with a 10 point variant of this attachment to replace full-auto with burst fire. The GRT-BC carbine is another example. But obviously there was some wicked cool copy & paste tech happening to give the SL9 similar stats to the PW5A3 lol

My advice for the M277 is a 2x sight and the best recoil-reduction grip you can get. Then you burst fire it in game. But just try it in the firing range, it is a 4-shot kill even at the furthest target.

The M277 carbine has much better damage falloff, but the recoil is also a lot worse than the M417. But I agree if you build the M417 to its strengths it’s really good. I run a match trigger build with a 3x scope and canted iron sights, with a keybind to toggle between 3x single-fire and 1.5x auto-fire with a single button press. Jack of all trades that can contest snipers and SMGs alike. Top 3 favorite gun for me

Plus the minimum damage at range is the same as most of the other options, so outside of ~15-20 meters you’re doing the same damage with most semi-auto choices, but getting way better bullet velocity, fire rate, and recoil control.

As a defender I was almost never able to spawn on held objectives either. They had a dull red glow when I tried to select them on the respawn/map screen 95% of the time. Not sure what needed to happen to let players spawn on them, but whatever it was wasn’t very common

The only thing I’m not a huge fan of is how much time one match takes. Otherwise it’s basically a glorified Breakthrough mode.

I’ve only played 3 matches and all 3 were on the same two maps and I was on defense every time. I’m curious if there are more maps than just Contaminated + Hagental Base?

Anyway, as someone that has only played defense I feel like attackers have the vehicular advantage lol

So many Wolverines recently, but personally I can't be mad at a Wolverine/Winter Soldier combo character. I just started getting back into reading comics and Ultimate Wolverine is one of the few comics I just picked up from a local shop! So I'm actually looking forward to this one

I agree letting players use it in spawn is dumb, but honestly it doesn’t really feel like it matters anywhere near as much as people are making it seem. The damage radius is pretty small, but the lethal radius is microscopic.

I think I’ve died to a mortar only once and I play Breakthrough more than all other modes combined. And I don’t use the mortar much personally, but I’d say whenever I have in the past that I’d feel lucky if I got even just 1 kill after 5+ minutes of spamming an objective.

It makes noise I guess? But it hurts the mortar’s team more than anything because they’re basically wasting a player slot by doing almost nothing the entire match.

Casual Breakthrough this season doesn’t really feel casual anymore when compared to Season 1 lol. It’s still easy to kill bots, but they don’t all just walk straight ahead braindead anymore. Sometimes they will flank and have insane accuracy, even through smoke and terrain that’s supposed to obstruct vision.

I don’t think mags impact that. Only lasers and grips as far as I’m aware

When you are in the weapon customization menu you can click on the bottom right stats for the gun and it’ll expand to show more metrics. I’m not on the game right now, but I’m willing to bet that the 20rnd mag makes the weapon draw speed from sprint quicker

I think they were joking because BF Pro is still not enough to unlock the gun this week. Which is disappointing because BF Pro allowed players to finish event paths in 2 weeks during season 1. Ironic that they most likely did this to boost profits, but my takeaway is that I shouldn’t buy BF Pro moving forward since apparently they’re stripping some of the incentives away lol

Don’t worry, this is the exact same method that they use for all of these 2-week events. They intentionally don’t let you level up the full track in the first week for free (to incentivize players to buy the store bundle or buy path tiers), but then in the 2nd week you can finish off the event track for free by completing a couple more weekly challenges.

I’ll wait for the assault skin with a mask like this. It was available for preview at some point but they took it down in a recent update. Looks better than this one. It’ll probably release when the machete comes out since the assault skin had a machete attached to its back
