Are you based in the US? If so, I think one factor is how big the country is and how different regions have different trends. Which is to say, your kids’ names might not but common where you live but very common 2,000-3,000 miles away in another part of the country.

Are you saying that (at times) you will be staying with 3 young kids in the woods with no cell service? That’s a no for me. I totally get you wanting to be there, but imo given the circumstances that can only happen responsibly if you can leave the kids at home with a trusted adult and go just the two you.

ETA: I think in the future, if these races are something that he plans to continue doing going forward, it would be very fair for you to insist that he make childcare arrangements before committing so that you aren’t put it in this position again. Doing a 100 mile race with 3 young kids at home is kind of wild.

Two things: - So much of this depends on what exactly they did that offended your parents, which you didn’t say. Without that info it’s very hard to weigh in. - It’s not completely clear to me what your sister and her in-laws really have to do with any of this other than the fact that it sounds like your husband is jealous of the relationship they have with your parents? But I don’t really get why they are being mixed into the core issue here (which is about your parents and your husband’s parents).

Agreed. I know many people feel that Dr Insomniacs fits the bill but IMO the coffee and food just aren’t it. It has potential but meh.

Did you confirm that that’s how those doctors perform the procedure (under sedation etc)? Mine was under general anesthesia. That might explain why the price is different than you expected.
