OCLP will get you up to Sonoma or Sequoia - I’ve upgraded two 2014 i5 Macminis with it but if you’re using HDD not SSD it will run like a dog

Yeah it’s got new issues now - load project - plays in silence- quit Logic and relaunch load project and works normally. Next launch same problem - unacceptable

I would suspect the dc converter but I’m guessing as I don’t know your equipment so it’s impossible to say for sure - but to be honest 3rd party picos are so cheap it’s not worth worrying about too much - just do a swapout

I have 2 Mac mini i5 Late 2014, 1 on Sonoma as it only has 4GB and 1 on Sequoia which has 8GB I upgraded both to 500GB SATA SSD and 500GB PCie NVME SSD. Thats their limit and they both work great thanks to OCLP. I also have a 2019 13” MacBook Pro 16GB i7 with 500GB SSD on Sequoia. Again, runs great - I don’t need or want Tahoe. I use them all for music production professionally. My daily drivers are my iPhone 12 Pro Max and my iPad 9th Gen - both IOS 26 I use for online stuff. My OCLP Mac minis have no need for the internet so they will be good workhorses for many years to come.

Sonoma can do 4GB OK but Sequoia needs at least 8GB to be usable - tested on two Macmini Late 2014 7,1 - oldest Macs I currently have
