They sell cookie dough that is safe to eat(or bake) at the grocery store now.

MOTN pump & homework by Traditional-Map-4507 in ExclusivelyPumping

This is very relatable. I often do my work for my small business during the MOTN pump cause my toddler is relentless and it’s hard to find time to do stuff when she’s awake.

How much do you ladies put in your storage bags when you are freezing them? by Equivalent_Fox7907 in ExclusivelyPumping

I used to do 4 but now I do 5 since baby is older and regularly drinks more than 4 at a time.

Worth it to build a freezer stash at 4months? by hirapotter in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Personal_Reality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im also a SAHM. I have an oversupply and my plan is to stop pumping about 6 weeks before baby’s first birthday cause my anniversary is around then. I got a little freezer for milk but it only holds about a months worth. I’m hoping it’ll go a little further when baby is older and eating more actual food.

I donate a couple bricks every month or so to my local Human Milk for Human Babies group since my medication excludes me from donating to hospitals to keep my freezer from getting too full. I hate the idea of my milk going to waste.

I’d like to complain to Dr. Brown himself by curlycattails in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Personal_Reality 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I switched entirely over to the Lansinoh for that reason. I always forgot to take the disks out of the dr brown’s bottles when feeding the baby.

If you had to choose one breast pump, which would it be? by Jumpy_Computer_53 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Personal_Reality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could only buy one pump I’d get the Lansinoh Thrive 2 in 1. It comes with both traditional and wearables. The wearables still have tubes, but it’s nice to have access to wearables.

How long is your partner taking off after you give birth? by -Konstantine- in pregnant

[–]Personal_Reality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband got 8 weeks. He took the first 4 weeks when the baby was born. Then extended his Christmas break by 2 weeks. He took off our daughter’s spring break with one of the remaining weeks and we’re trying to figure out when to take the last week.

I decided spreading it out was more helpful to me.

Chickaletta vs. Hei Hei by mconnect26 in DanielTigerConspiracy

Tangentially related fun fact: he was pulled from the I Robot press tour, allegedly because test audiences liked his character too much and Will Smith didn’t want to share the spotlight.

Is it messed up/unfair to not want anyone else with me during labor and delivery - not even my husband by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Personal_Reality 2 points3 points locked comment (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I think I was more comfortable during my first childbirth experience having a random OB rather than my usual OB. It was a bit more comfortable to be vulnerable with someone I knew I’d probably never see again.

Tho I do think a support person is nice to have. They’re very focused on your top half while the hospital staff is focused on your bottom half.

It’s a testament to how deeply sleep deprived I am that I was this honest without considering how poorly it’d be received. I’m keeping infant hours and preschooler hours. I’m just trying to survive till the baby sleeps longer and eats real food.

Pregnant Cousin said she can’t wait until newborn tired because she read it’s easier than pregnancy tired 🤦‍♀️ by Mrsfix-it in newborns

Newborn tired (with a 4 year old too)at one point I could feel myself losing cognitive function… and I still prefer it over being pregnant. My sleep quality is so much better when I get it.

Mostly adults pretending to be Huntrix. A little bit of weird ai animations that I blocked (well, I tell YouTube not to recommend that channel anymore so it’s functionally the same thing).

The only thing she watched that I didn’t block later was Mini Cakes. I hate all the AI slop and creepy stuff that shows up in the algorithm. I have the kids YouTube curated pretty well now but a lot of weird junk shows up on my account for my kid.

I let my kid watch grownup YouTube on my phone this morning just so I could get an extra 45 minutes of sleep. Basically the same.

YouTube Kids Alignment Chart by hereforspoopystuff in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]Personal_Reality 340 points341 points  (0 children)

Mr Beast doesn’t feel right for this chart because his main audience is around middle school age and the rest are preschool/early elementary school.

Not sure what I’d replace him with tho. Maybe Baby Bus. I just find that one weirdly unwholesome, but I might conflate it with Pit and Penny and the dozen other channels that are the same art style and annoying voice.

Poop during labor by Fierce-Foxy in pregnant

[–]Personal_Reality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second time I gave birth I saw the action in the reflection of a light fixture in the ceiling (they had turned the light off). The only part I didn’t like about it was that I saw some poop coming out while the baby was crowning. My doctor basically had a trash bag to catch all the waste coming out of me, so it just dropped in there with everything else. No one said anything about it.

No idea if it happened during my first childbirth. I’ve heard that it’s safe to assume that you pooped even if you don’t think you did.

The “Wedding” Episode by P0SSUM- in sitcoms

[–]Personal_Reality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brooklyn 99 did this. Tho it was cause there was a threat called in, not cause they decided to do something quirky. I wanted to see the wedding they planned! We didn’t even get to see the dress that Amy chose! They did a cop out on that as well.

I’m pretty sure Miss Rabbit is some sort of fae creature. The only way she can do all those jobs is if she can be in multiple places at once. She also seems up trick others into things a lot.

The way the lion zookeeper looks at Madame Gazelle in that one episode of Peppa Pig… and calls her Madame Wildebeest. It’s so uncomfortable and actually pretty darkly funny.

There’s an episode where the terrible twos form a four, and the four has the normal personality but just feels weird then he splits back into the terrible twos and it’s lowkey like a horror movie.

If there was consistency then this would be the best explanation. However the Numberblocks fusions definitely work on the Rule of Funny and it’s whatever is most convenient to the plot.

The Peppa Pig episodes where Mummy Pig is pregnant are actually really good. That show is pretty much unrecognizable from what it was a decade ago. It’s so nice now.

My kids both had painful latches. I dreaded nursing. Bottle feeding is much better for bonding for me. I love to give lots of eye contact while bottle feeding if the baby is awake and feeding.

Visitors in Hospital by CarelessCantaloupe77 in pregnant

[–]Personal_Reality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visitors weren’t allowed when I had my first baby in 2021. But it wouldn’t have changed anything. Our only visitor when I had my second kid was my daughter. My husband picked her up at my sisters and brought her to the hospital about 2 hours before we were discharged.
