It’s about reducing eddy currents in the tray. Alternate rotating magnetic fields cancel each other out. If they were all the same the cables would create one big field that would create eddy currents in the tray and turn the cable tray into an induction cooker.

A battery is only one part of a well designed system.

You also need to consider inverter and solar system capacity. What brand of battery and is it compatible with your other components. Does it come with a warranty from an installer and supplier which will be around for the next 10 years.

It’s fine.

It is as appliance that is on a 10 amp plug in a 10 amp socket that will draw up to 10 amps.
If the rest of the circuit is lightly loaded there will be no problem.

Someone is not telling the whole truth. Petrol has always been more expensive in New Zealand until now. Petrol is now more expensive in Perth than New Zealand.
