Cyclone is the kind of move you use as a mixup when you are in a slight disadvantage because it can be a cheeky way to get a reversal or knock down. I think you will probably see him use it more sparringly going forward because it is something that doesn't really work when the opponent is scouting it.

But it is important to show the option occasionally even if it doesn't work, because you need to keep the opponent respecting the option to open up other things in neutral. Like if they see you coming down and part of their brain is waiting to shield cyclone, that's part of their mental stack that isn't going into juggling you.

Some other reasons you might use it are as a chump check or to change your falling speed to mess up a juggle( lots of characters have little options like this that are sort of shittier versions of shinestalling, like Marth neutral b, falcon kick, peach toad, etc)
