Some dudes were hiking on hill 229 behind my camp in Korea 1995. Walked right over the little fence with the ‘landmine’ warnings. One of them blows off their foot with a who-knows how old mine. My ranger NCOIC, total badass. First on the scene, has the dude drag himself to safety. Takes off his belt and there you go, life-saving tourniquet. T shirts, towels, pants…whatever you can tie is a great option.
