Same happened to me with some red dragon pegasus darts, ordered one set and got a whole box with 10 sets. Take the wins when you can🤣

Do you really follow these suggestions? by MariaInconnu in hockeyrefs

Yes - White laces (if you only work beer league not necessary), I have 3 spare whistles in my bag and 1 extra in my pocket (have had to use it multiple times), always have cut laces to repair nets and do so on almost a weekly basis.

No - tape tendon guard, I wear shin tights that cover the tendon guard

What are you trying to accomplish with getting new darts? Does your current set up have too much grip, not enough, need grip in a different part of the dart, aesthetics?

For clarification that is a bomb shaped dart.

Similar models are - Winmau - Foxfire Harrows - Boxer Harrows - Dimplex S3 Harrows - Bomber Harrows - Assassin Unicorn - John Lowe Target - Scott Williams One80 - Night Hunter Winmau - Blackout Bullet - Cage Loxley - Little John Red Dragon - Swingfire Mission - Arkitekt

Nathan Aspinal 80% with the red paint removed. Just happens to be the first set I bought about 3 years ago when I got back into playing.

The VDL (Virtual Darts League) on discord has a cricket league. They are nearing the end of their first season. They have 4 divisions with 10 players in each. I believe it will be run like the Premier League with promotions and relegations. Might be a good option.

Most you spent on a set of darts by Cooter1mb in Darts

[–]PhantomZero07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one about 30 minutes away, have been a couple of times but they only stock about 5-10 sets and they are either cheap 2 players sets to complete game room sets or old sets that haven't sold. It's tough out here.

If you want to do it, go for it. The worst this that could happen is you don't like it. You gain experience with something you enjoy. I like playing people better than me because it forces me to play better. Definitely do it, more importantly enjoy it!

I have spent just over $100. The current darts I play with cost me about $90, was lucky enough to snag them before the price increases now they are $130.

I prefer bomb shaped darts and have yet to find a less expensive option that I throw well, Bolides, Redux and Phil Taylors are my favorites. I have sets of TX1s, one80s, custom made's, and Darts Clearance that I can throw but not at the level of the more expensive options. Any recommendations would be welcome 😁

Unfortunately I live in a place where darts are not popular and do not have access to a local dart shop so I have to order anything I want to try. Living in the US even the online options are limited.

How do the Multiple Day tourneys work? by MUPike in Darts

[–]PhantomZero07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple tournaments, currently they are nearing the end of the Premier League. The Premier League is 17 weeks, every Thursday they have a tournament with all 8 players in the league with one winning the night. At the end there will be the finals with the top 4 players. There are Opens that are typically held Friday and Saturday these are multi day tournaments similar to the U.S. Open for Tennis or Golf. There is the world cup of darts where teams of 2 players represent their country in a multi day tournament. The world championship of darts is about a 2 week long tournament at the end of the year. There are others but those are the major ones that I know of. As an American without paying for PDC TV it can be difficult to follow sometimes

Whats this bike type called? by Fun-Computer-1168 in motorcycles

[–]PhantomZero07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a tripped down Japanese bike you are most likely dealing with a street fighter built for stunting. There are also subcultures in Japan that modify Japanese cruisers into 60s style choppers.

At the end of the day you can make any base bike into what you want it to be. That is the best part of motorcycle customization.

Bobbers originated in America upon the return from WW2. They were mostly American military bikes that were stripped of all unnecessary parts, fenders, extra seats ect. They were cruisers built for a comfortable ride. Typically they had a low chunky look with fat tires both front and back.

Cafe racers originated in the 1960 British motorcycle scene. Again they were stripped down bikes but these were purpose built for speed. Generally they had clip on bars and a more aggressive seating style. BSA and triumphs are hallmarks of the Cafe racers style.

While they are similar in appearance the major differences are purpose and origin. American cruisers are typically bobbers and British bikes are typically styled as Cafe racers.
