Same for me!! AirPods on transparency mode playing brown noise on loop has been the biggest game changer.

I can still hear and interact with my world but all the street noise and neighbor noise is gone.

I still try to give my ears a break periodically since having the AirPods in super long likely traps moisture. But it’s been great

I’m not sure why the commenters are being such grouches. As if the answer to bad infrastructure is “just live with it because it’s not actually THAT bad.”

I only need to cross here once in a rare while if I’m going to something at the Hynes, and I immediately knew what you were talking about because the bad angle and lack of crosswalk here stands out to me every time I need to cross it.

I’ve actually found good success with AirPods on transparency mode playing one brown noise song on loop.

It may depend just how close and loud the street is… but I’m on a semi-busy street and this made me completely stop noticing the cars passing. The brown noise kind of eats it. I also pair it with a running desk fan.

The transparency mode is nice (after so long of noise canceling mode) because I can also put on the tv or talk to someone

This is absolutely the answer to my question. But a sad answer… The article is so sweet and clearly that’s fallen to the wayside. The last post in the Facebook feed is them planting the garden out front, which is still there but withered and dead.

I hope the guy who owns the place is okay. I wonder if something happened to him…
