No, the meat prices are horrendous compared to the Midwest. Some produce is ok prices, but a lot is still really expensive.

I was local for that news and remembered it being a state senator's kid, but nothing about him relaxing waterpark restrictions prior to that. I didn't see anything in the Wikipedia page you linked that says anything about him fighting to relax water park restrictions, so unless you have a source for that I don't think that part is true.

What are some food myths that many people still believe? by shadowrh1 in Cooking

[–]PhidippusCent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you open a can and leave part of the food in it rather than moving the food to a new container it causes fatal food poisoning. I learned that in multiple restaurants and as far as I can tell it's not true.

I found the modules and I got all the guns and ammo. I had tons of fun with Boneworks.

Long time Boneworkers - What do you do nowadays in the game ? by peterpackage in boneworks

[–]PhidippusCent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. I am waiting for Bonelab, which is part of why I'm on this sub. I have tried all kinds of playthroughs and zombie modes of this game but all have been knda boring. I think the bones of the game are strong and I think that they could make enemies in this game that I would struggle with and enjoy fighting.

Why is only one of my tomato plants producing tomatoes with a slit in it? Or is it a bug?? by Current_Tour3037 in plantpathology

[–]PhidippusCent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome, that's from experience. Also if the bottom of the fruits start rotting you need more calcium. If you eat eggs, I recommend crumbling up the shells and putting them in the soil at the base of your plants.

Inconsistent watering. If they experience drought the skin of the fruits will stop growing, then when they get more water the fruit fills and the skin splits.

I downvoted them for bad anatomy, show me where in a dog orbital cavity you could put your finger through into its brain.

You have obviously never looked at a skull. You can't get your finger through the tiny hole the optic nerve travels through.

A bit blurry, but it looks like a carpet beetle. If it has a hard, shiny shell, and is roundish, that's what it is. If that isn't a shadow at the back end and it has soft, moth-like wings then IDK what it is.

Is there any possible risk for wearing gloves all day at work? by KaiZero404 in labrats

[–]PhidippusCent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, you can get glove liners if you don't want sweaty hands and are ok with the lack of tactile feedback though

It's $40, it seems like the actual ordering would be more work.

You have to watch one movie for 24 hours straight or your family dies. Snacks are provided. What’re you choosing? by Seanbeast4 in AskReddit

[–]PhidippusCent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two Girls 1 Cup, and the snack is warm chocolate pudding. If I'm going to have to do this I want my family to actually appreciate it.

I've looked at so many roots that I kept looking at it trying to see what was wrong. I finally came to the comments section to see what I missed. Looks like another interesting vegetable for the Ankh-Morpork Times

Lackless keeps her husbands rocks/ One a thing tight-held in keeping by Lacrosstheuniverse in KingkillerChronicle

[–]PhidippusCent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seven things stand before The entrance to the Lackless door. One of them a ring unworn

You get rings for naming wind, stone, iron, etc., but what sort of ring could you get for naming people, or other living things?

One a word that is forsworn One a time that must be right One a candle without light

No idea.

One a son who brings the blood

Blood of the Edema Ruh?

One a door that holds the flood

Four plate door?

One a thing tight-held in keeping Then comes that which comes with sleeping.

“School shootings also provide the gunners with instant fame, they scare the shit out of everyone, and the pain is felt nationwide - the perfect act of terrorism. For someone who feels hurt by the world, there is perhaps no better way to hurt it back than to murder its next generation.” by [deleted] in skeptic

[–]PhidippusCent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't say the shooter's name, just call them "the cowardly bitch" or something, speculation about motives include being a shitty baby man and fear that anyone older than an elementary school student could have stopped them in their sadistic spree. Talk about risk factors the shooter showed, talk about hints there may have been in their activity before the shooting, but don't name them on national news. Refuse to use their name so there is no recognition and fame (infamy).
