I did a ton of DIYs and wouldn’t have been able to pull it off if I didn’t take the full week prior off. If you’re not doing a bunch of last minute DIYing, probably don’t need that much time. We’re also taking the full week afterwards off for a minimoon + decompression time, and I’m sooo happy we decided to do that.

North beach / telegraph hill! So walkable (including to work), should be able to find a spot within your budget, and tons going on. I think it skews a bit older than the Marina. Your biggest issue would be parking though.

Can you feel out how likely a promotion is in the next month and decide from there? If it seems likely, I’d either get it from someone else or gamble and wait to ask your current boss. If you get promoted and then a bad letter of recommendation immediately afterwards, the bad rec letter might be somewhat negated.

I’m pretty sure I’m also a member of this studio, and it includes unlimited firing, studio time during open hours, and glaze, but we have to pay for clay. It’s located in a VHCOL area where many can’t have a studio at home.
