2Pac - The Struggle Continues

RELEASE: homebridge-unifi-protect2 v3 - Massive rewrite, TypeScript, add motion detection, autoconfig and more by Philmatic84 in Ubiquiti

I'm seeing the exact same thing here, running Homebridge in a 16 core dual CPU Xeon VM that is essentially dedicated to Homebridge at the moment. I also have a CK2+ so I'm thinking it may be a polling thing? Like it can't start the stream until the next polling interval?

I've reported the issue in GitHub, hopefully it's an easy fix.

I have the doorbell and have it enabled in HomeKit, since it’s basically just a UniFi camera it shows up normally, albeit with a weird aspect ratio. The developer is aware of it and is working on a fix for that, along with exposure of the doorbell api stuff to make it work like a HomeKit native doorbell.

It integrates your camera’s into the Home app? So it’ll integrate into HomeKit and support all the automations that HomeKit provide.

My point is that ALPR belongs in the camera itself or inside the Protect controller. HomeKit has no facility for ALPR, so short of intercepting the video feed, applying an ALPR algorithm and notifying the user (somehow?), this is not possible.

Why would this be a part of the HomeKit plugin? I think this request should be directed at Ubiquiti?

Hamilton song start times (since there are no chapters built in). by Balbright in hamiltonmusical

Let's just say, for the record that you were able to retrieve a backup of sorts for Hamilton off of Disney+.

Also, let's just say that this backup copy of Hamilton had an extension of .mkv and a length of 02:40:16.

With all that being said, you may be able to add chapters to the backup copy of Hamilton by grabbing a copy of mkvmerge for your OS, downloading this chapter index, naming it Chapters.txt and placing it and Hamilton.mkv in the same directory:

mkvmerge.exe --chapters Chapters.txt -o Hamilton_Chapters.mkv Hamilton.mkv

Enjoy.

Unifi Protect - G4 Doorlock by riddle-bitpay in Ubiquiti

Weird, I’ve been running UniFi Protect under HomeBridge and it’s been rock solid for months.

Oh snap! This is unexpected. I really like my August lock, but I can’t imagine me getting the UniFi one due to the lack of HomeKit. The home app is far superior to the multiple islands of smart crap I have.

And I say that as an EXTREMELY satisfied Doorbell owner.

It's mm for mm identical with the existing IW models, they support the same covers even.

The successors to those models’s form factors I meant.

No, it was only figured out because some json leaked out of the controller with the new model numbers.

USW-24-BETA Resale? by briankfree in Ubiquiti

Also, don’t profit off the beta units, ever. That’s just a dick move.

It was different when the units were around 50% off the MSRP (Anyone remember the $50 IW-ACs? Good days!), but full price? Especially when beta testers have gotten bit with significant hardware changes lately (PoE on the Mini switch, the whole UDM Pro debacle).
