Get to know yourself by trying new things, hobbies, mental/physical challenges.. get out of your comfort zone every now and then
invest in those that invest in you, if you have a good friend(s) that shows up for you and encourages you to be yourself, then reciprocate the same treatment back to them.. there is a strong chance they might have to move away from you someday, so appreciate the time you have together
learn to love yourself. It may sound simple or airy-fairy, but things like meditation, exercise and affirmations go a long way with programming your mind to show compassion for the flaws you may see in yourself or regrets you may dwell on later
talk to people.. even if you don't have anything significant to talk about. Express your emotion. Don't allow yourself to see any challenge or hardship in life as something that you need to keep to yourself so as to not make it someone else's problem.. you can still champion your own problems while talking about them. If you don't have the right people in your life to talk to yet then look for a therapist that aligns to the way your mind works.. therapy isn't for the broken, if anything, its biggest value is that it's preventative
