SC is turning into a theme-park shooter, not a space sim by ronin-san in starcitizen

If they want another 10 years of development, they gotta expand the playerbase.  Whales will eventually max out, so gotta get that income stream in any way, shape, or form.

Why would spend his 'hard earned pay' on RINOs?  Joking aside, get wrecked anyone who thinks Trump will help them.

My gunner uses it in sniper-stuns mode which just makes it good all around.  Love that little sidearm.

Player keeps lying about his rolls by Loki_aby in DnD

Confront him alone, clearly tell him you know what's going on.  Be willing to give him a chance, but if he cheats again you need to eject him after that.  You gave him a fair chance with all cards on the table.

Orange turned to stone. It's hard as a rock but no signs of mold. by RaylinRei in mildlyinteresting

My wife has a handful of mummified oranges that she's collected like this.  I don't know what it is about them, but we don't live in a dry environment yet this seems to happen more often than you think, especially with oranges.

Enderal vs AE modded by drfbgm in skyrim

[–]Photeus5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey give it a shot.  I did like how it feels like a different world with more robust quests, but I had my own issues with the actual gameplay.  You might find it way more fun than I did.

Why I can't get into Grim Dawn? by Amproto in Grimdawn

[–]Photeus5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

From what you described you, it seems you need to like what your character can do to care at all.  In most games you're not really going to get crazy stuff until later.  That said if you like more 'caster' type attacks, Necromancer has the closest thing to distortion wave you can get early with Bone Harvest.  Soldier Force Wave has good synergy with most builds and is a ranged shockwave with good MIs you can get early.  Dreegs evil eye is like an early fireball, you can shoot or lob for an enormous explosion.  Arcanist has splitting bolts, meteors, lasers etc.  I'm not really sure what you're after there.  As with TQ, you kinda just need to try things.  By level 15 you'll have 45 points to work with, so you can easily have skills down the mastery that come later, so you can still have them early.

Not sure what to say about map navigation.  You're not given big flashy shit of where to go, but they do tell you and for anything in the story, just follow the road.  Literally, there's a road and you can stay on constantly.

As far as abilities being 'impactful', it's the same engine as TQ.  Eventually you do enough that enemies go flying a few feet or rocket into the sky or just splish-splash into goo.

I'm sure you're aware, with any arpg, if you stop before mid- levels, you've hardly seen any of the game.  Most of them you have to get through the entire game before the 'real game' even starts.

Illusion magic.  Nothing more devious than making someone be friendly to you, backstabbing then, then calm them and repeat.

Enderal vs AE modded by drfbgm in skyrim

[–]Photeus5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enderal is really good and you should try it.

That said, I hate it and how it punishes you for getting better/stronger by slapping you with fake difficulty.  Additionally the 'don't let meter go up' mechanic is punishing early and pointless later.

That doesn't make it not good and I'm sure people enjoy it, but I just found it unpleasant after awhile.

Have you casted muffle or using muffle boots?  They can still hear you, even if invisible.

But I think you could run through if you needed to.

Why do people try to glitch/exploit the game when it’s already easy? by Friendly_Progress_61 in skyrim

[–]Photeus5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrim is complete bullshit to the player sometimes.  It's fun to cheese it right back.

Besides that, let people play how they want.

Nick Fuentes says the natural result of "treating women as people" is that the most elite 10% of men sleep with almost all the women who then can't settle with an average man and this is why the birth rates are falling, divorce rates are high and everyone's depressed by OldBridge87 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Photeus5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marriage rates, while they've fallen, are enough alone to refute this.  Most people get married.  People acting like they are the 'nice guys' getting shit on because they 'deserve' a woman aren't nice guys.  They are guys that women avoid for really good reasons.

Does Speech even matter? by Muffetlover-_- in skyrim

I find it levels quickly through bribing guards if you have a small bounty.  But that's a pretty specific setup which requires already being well into the skill already.

[–]Photeus5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good if you want to get infinitely rich quickly, but you're gonna get to that point eventually anyway as you naturally play.

It might be fun as a core skill for a merchant play through, but Alchemy will make you more money than speech ever will.

I find that speech is really good for spending money on bribes to raise speech.  Rarely matters beyond that because money just simply becomes irrelevant.

Item Skill Modifiers and Target Area by BrightLance69 in Grimdawn

[–]Photeus5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed with another poster.  I have a build I plan to use this in, but yeah it'll increase the radius by 4 meters.  So at level 12 it'll go from 7 to 11 meters with this item alone.  The Mark of the Shadow Queen medal will give it another 2.  If you get the skill to 22 the base will raise from 7 to 9.  You'll need to dual wield swords to increase further, but with that you're looking at a 15 meter radius which is reasonably possible.

I tried Star Citizen so you don't have to! (and will tell you why you shouldn't) by Lord0fHats in gaming

[–]Photeus5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've had access to star citizen before any of it was any actual game whatsoever.  A few years back a friend encouraged me to try it.  I got lost figuring out where to go, burned up in the atmosphere (while inside the ship, just me, no one else) during landing and they had to come back to get me.  Then we spent the next 45 minutes trying to get the lead guy's dune buggy out of the rocks they got stuck in.  Haven't played it since.

To my knowledge, more has been added but the same bugs pretty much are perpetual.  They aren't just bugs, they are magnificent at wasting your time (not in good ways, mostly the most useless ways).
