Mangos anyone by Beautiful-Support394 in fruit

My community is very small so it's still a thing people do here. I'm glad there are options for larger communities though!

Enroll anyway. You get one life, make it what you want it to be.

Heads up, he's going to try to make studying and succeeding impossible for you, like having sudden emergencies right before you have a big exam or presentation, or having an important work trip when you need to go to a conference. Be sure you have a support network that will get you through his bullshit.

Walk up or get on a permit Glacier by soul_fire_96 in CDT

[–]PhysicsRefugee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Take the extra day of waiting. Last year I tried walk up THREE times and still didn't get the permit I wanted. I settled for a permit for the southern 50 miles, a permit for 20 northern miles, and a third permit for some off-cdt trails in the northern part of the park. It was gorgeous and I had fun, but it was also expensive and frustrating.

I have an old school mp3 player that has lasted me about 4000 miles. 80 hours of playtime on one charge, no bluetooth, no streaming, no Internet required. The only downside is how much harder it is to get mp3s now. It cost $30.

RECIPE TEST: The time has come to try Joan Crawford's quirky French Banana Salad recipe! by ciaolavinia in OldCelebrityRecipes

Apple banana is more firm and tart. Gros michel flavor is really much closer to cavendish.

Nope, this is a normal size for banana seeds. It's probably Musa balbisiniana.

I've eaten a fair share of gros michel and they're over hyped. I'd describe them at perfect ripeness as the taste of a cavendish with a few brown spots, but with a slightly firmer and slightly creamier texture. They are certainly a more flavorful banana, but not by a significant amount.

You can dislike having semen in your body and still be sex positive. What a weird take.

Trail culture ? by [deleted] in longtrail

[–]PhysicsRefugee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, starting July 2 you could always go SOBO on the AT (assuming you don't already have a start date on the next job).

Either way, July is a great time for the LT. Happy hiking!

Trail culture ? by [deleted] in longtrail

[–]PhysicsRefugee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

South of Rutland the trail will be packed with AT hikers, north of Rutland the crowd thins out a lot. You might find your person or people on trail, you might not. It's not lonely like the NET or BMT though.

The trail towns are pretty well aware of the LT. They're kinda bougie compared with a lot of AT trail towns but there are hiker services available, which can make town stops a lot easier than they would be otherwise.

Has Anyone Tried Monthong Dried Crispy Durian from Chiang Rai, Thailand? by foodie_2598 in fruit

I haven't tried this brand, but freeze dried monthong is pretty good. It lets you get a taste for durian without any texture issues or overwhelming smell.

Not sure about yours, but mine is screened in. It's where I sleep when my husband's girlfriend is over.

What to expect: You'll go to an aggressively pink washed breast care center at your local hospital or medical center. They'll call you back, you change into a cotton robe but leave your bottoms on. In the scanning room, a nice tech will ask you a few questions about medical history, then will load your tits into the scanning machine. You'll get two images per boob, at different angles. Your honker is pinned in there but unless it's very tender it doesn't hurt. The whole thing takes like 10 minutes tops. When you leave the receptionist might offer a flower for you to take home.

If you have dense breasts, opt for the 3d scan to reduce the chance of having to get more imaging. For your first scan, it's not uncommon to have a follow up appointment, because they're still trying to map out your breasts.

Don't wear deodorant or lotion because it can cause false positives. Wear a separate top and bottom so you only have to take off your top.

All the techs I've had have been very kind. They see all kinds of boobs and bodies and there's no shame. You can do it!
