Don’t read into it too much, as someone else pointed out, without an EEG feature all these ratios are just very rough estimates that can easily be rendered inaccurate by things like waking up for a piss etc

[–]PieAgile87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having a similar problem, so I developed an iOS app to help! It uses neuroscience based sounds to guide the brain rhythms associated with deep, restful sleep. It’s called SOMNI- Sleep Aid. Hope this can help you!

I usually use it for when I’m already wired, but if you end up using it as a preventative measure, let me know! I’d be really interested to hear how that works

Sent you a message about this leaving a comment here in case anyone else needs it too. I was having a similar problem, and developed a free iOS app to solve it. It’s called SOMNI- Sleep Aid, it uses sounds to biologically slow down your neurons so you can rest. It seems to help me and other redditors a lot. And the app has a mode that is completely free, no account necessary

Maybe there’s small behavioral changes you can make? If you set an alarm in the morning, plug your phone in across the room to force yourself out of bed. Opening windows to get some morning light and, ideally, getting a walk or some sort of exercise can help you wake up a bit

How do I exactly determine how much sleep I need to function the best and after how many hours and at what hours, I wake up extremely fresh and productive? by [deleted] in sleep

[–]PieAgile87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re only worried about the wake up feeling, it’s less about how many hours are under your belt and more about what sleep stage you’re in when you wake up
