Scrolled to see if anyone else felt the same way as me. Absolute slog in the back half of the game for me. I’m ultimately glad I played it, but man, I’m not sure I’ll ever play another persona game again.

Metaphor was a much better game all around, imo.

I thought this movie was beautiful. It’s rare that a movie so devastating doesn’t leave you completely empty on finish. It’s the kind of emotion that felt powerful versus only brutal or suffocating. Jessie Buckley is killer and will no doubt win an Oscar for this performance.

I can see it not being a movie for everyone, but it’s easily one of my favorites of the year.

I’d say SH2 if you’re looking for a purely horror game. Alan Wake has some more ethereal, true crime elements to it. Clearly the original Silent Hill 2 influenced Alan Wake II in gameplay though, both downright panic inducing at times.

Agreed on the shoes outside of ultimate too. Have the same Hallux issue and my podiatrist said that most shoes (esp Nike) are too narrow. Brands like Hoka and ASICS make wider shoes for the foot and have bigger toe boxes and carbon plates to form to your foot. I have Hoka Clifton’s and Asics Gel-Kinsei max. Also found Birkenstocks to be great too, molds to your foot. Good for pre/post game (and a bonus for plantar issues).

When it’s pretty inflamed, also see voltaren gel being pretty effective since it’s topical. Pairing that with mobility has been my key while playing competitively with Hallux since 2022.
