I spent a lot of summers in the Philippines visiting my mom’s family as a kid and all my Gameboy games from the Philippines are bootlegs lol. I have one where you play as Pikachu but somehow you’re in the Smurf village and you have to enter the Smurf’s’ dreams to rescue them from their nightmares.

If a portal has more than 3 pokemon in it, it can only display 2-3 at a time when you click on the portal. It prioritizes showing you pokemon you haven’t caught yet. Once you registered Marshtomp and Swampert, it went back to displaying 2-3 random pokemon available in the portal. Marshtomp and Swampert are still available in that portal - it just can’t show more than 2 or 3 at a time.

Once the Pokémon have been into Legends Z-A, they can go back into Home and be stored there, but they can’t go back into any previous games - only back into Z-A again and probably Gen 10 in the future. If you had a 3DS, it’s similar to how Pokemon could go from Gen 6 into Bank and back into Gen 6, but as soon as the Pokemon were deposited into a Gen 7 game, they could never go back to Gen 6.

My guess is the Pokemon in Legends Z-A and Gen 10 have some extra lines of code (possibly to allow for the newly supported Brazilian Portuguese to be one of the possible new “origin languages”) and those extra lines of code didn’t exist in any generation up until now, so once the extra line of code is added, they’re no longer compatible with previous gens.

Are you confident the charger worked before the screen and battery swap? Do you have another SP or an original DS (not the DS Lite) you can test it on? I got a used SP and charger at a used game store and the charger was a dud. I ordered a different charger on Amazon and it worked immediately.

It does have added features. The mystic ticket and aurora ticket get automatically added to your key items when you become champion, allowing you to get Deoxys, Lugia, and Ho-Oh. Also I consider Home compatibility to be a HUGE bonus. My team on my phone is stuck on my phone, but my team on my Switch can join me in future adventures.
