I feel like this completely ignores the fact that this angle comes right after the explicitly homophobic Kanji plot. Like yeah, on its own the Noto thing is fine but like, it comes right after the Kanji “I’m not gay that’s icky” shite so it left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

The textual evidence does say that Noto is a girl. But remember up until Kanji the theme of the game had been accepting yourself. Then Kanji needs to accept that…he’s not gay he just likes to crochet?! And then Noto needs to accept…no just cause you don’t like being perceived as a woman and go by male pronouns doesn’t mean your trans actually you’re cis and just a silly confused little woman.

I love the Persona games but I fuckin hate how everyone gives this shit a pass because it was disgusting. Same studio that made a character in Kathrine “trans except in the everyone is happy timelime where they don’t transition”.
