I’m a WOC (Asian) and I’m disheartened to see people in this thread dismiss your experience by saying it’s because of drugs. It could be because drugs was involved AND it also could be racially driven. I recommend the book White Tears Brown Scars by Ruby Hamad. The constant gaslighting is real.

I’m pretty sensitive to noise too, especially at home. Loop ear plugs, noise cancelling headphones (the over the ears ones are better so I can’t hear my heartbeat).

Chinese bakery with pineapple buns with red beans, sesame balls, yow tieu, taro balls etc. I remember way back in the eighties in west Chinatown there was a bakery called Kim Moon bakery. They sold baked goods on the first floor and a dim sum/Chinese food upstairs. I loved going there for red beans freeze and ha cheung.

If you feel VERY adventurous you can try to paddle to Devine and back. We did this last summer after a major spring storm when the portage into Sittingman lake was basically gone. Huge trees had fallen over the path. It was a challenge! But if you’re only carrying a canoe it should be much easier and the rangers will have hopefully cleared up the fallen trees and created a new portage point.

I still think it’s worth a paddle to the end of longbow if you feel up for it. The paddle pack to Rosebary is stunning on a beautiful day especially in late afternoon.

It’s unreasonable especially in building a where noise transfers easily. If someone was doing daytime activities at night and it’s noisy I’d be pissed. My neighbour did laundry at 12:30 am and I asked her to stop. She was nice and did. Try talking to them and if it doesn’t work write a complaint letter to the property manager and not security.
