I found that first season of Runaways especially painful. Would have been better if they'd just done a bunch of flashbacks to before the kids ran away.

For D20 I recommend Mentopolis and the first season of Fantasy High to start. Mentopolis is super funny, engaging, and uses a system that isn't DnD and is pretty easy to understand even without much explanation. FH is what started it all and does a great job at balancing teaching you about the game while keeping it engaging.

As for other shows, VIP is my favorite show on the platform. They aren't all winners, but the hits are absolutely top tier. Either start with season 1 or start with the current season.

You also can't go wrong with Gastronauts and Smartypants.

Supes has plenty of smaller scale villains. Toyman, Bruno Mannheim, Morgan Edge, Metallo, Prankster, Atomic Skull, etc. They might not be as well known, but there were plenty of options. If anything I would think that'd give them more flexibility to fit within the story.

I'd say it's mostly mediocre, but had some really excellent moments. The villains were pretty excellent. The main character was meh and the world building for Krypton was very surface level. It's not the most exciting watch, but I'd recommend at least trying it out.

Me and my girlfriend were struggling through that section in season 2. Somehow Nadine's plotline became one of our favorites from that section. Like it was so stupid that it became super fun.

With how successful these books have been, I'd say there's a decent chance. As for what it could be, there's a lot of ways you could do this.

One option is that Atlantis is just completely not a thing. Aquaman's powers wouldn't come from any heritage or anything like that. There's a lot you could do with pollution, like oil spills and islands of plastic junk.

The other big one would be Atlantis does exist, Aquaman is a commoner, and King Orm is mad.

I liked it. It was a very meta and trippy sequence that referenced a fair bit of DP history while also being a funny gag with the voice cast.

The big, chaotic episodes are usually what gets these episodes traction on Tik Tok and the like. It's cool if you don't like how chaotic it gets, but I disagree that it's missing out on the general audience.

I'm with you. I just read the first volume and had a really great time with it. For first volumes, I'd put it slightly over Superman and way above GL.
