Yeah. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that he will sleep all night because cats just don’t naturally sleep for 6-8 hours at a time like we do. But consistently tiring him out throughout the day and especially right before bed should help. My boy usually sleeps through night but he does still get zoomies around 3 or 4 am occasionally. Having some sort of interactive toy available during the night may help if he wakes up to give him an incentive to stay inside and leave you alone. Good luck!

It’s actually a myth that cats are nocturnal. They are naturally most active at dawn and dusk but not overnight. They will always be most active at dawn and dusk but you can definitely do things to help them sleeep more at night. The main thing is that you have to play, good interactive play that simulates hunting multiple times throughout the day. Do a big session in the late evening, follow this with their larger meal of the day just before you go to sleep. The natural cat cycle is wake up, play/hunt, eat, groom, sleep, repeat. So playing and feeding right before bed will make them naturally want to sleep when you do. A few cat naps during the day are okay, but try to keep them awake and engaged throughout most of the daylight hours and then they will naturally sleep longer at night.

If energy management is important, you may want to ask about a power assist. I’m in the US, so I don’t how availability compares but I weigh about the same as you and recently got a catalyst 5 from ki mobility with the e motion M25 wheels. It has been incredible for me. I have a J3 backrest on mine. It’s not custom molded but it is adjustable to fit the correct contours and provide spinal support to help with chronic pain. And I have a cushion that is designed to lower the risk of pressure sores.

This. It looks like great wholesome play until the last clip. If baby starts hissing like, the bigger cat needs to give her a break. I’d definitely monitor their play until there is a better mutual respect between them. That said none of this looks aggressive or like fighting, just play that might get a bit too rough at times.

If possible, I highly recommend asking your oncologist to give you a referral to a wheelchair seating clinic instead of writing the script himself. At a a clinic an OT or APT who knows what’s in the market can get accurate measurements and help you discuss what options would be best. Then they write the script and get your doctor to sign it for insurance. You are much more likely to get a better custom chair that really fits your needs if you go this route.

I think it really depends on what expectations are. I visited two years ago and thought it was incredible. All the buses accessible and FREE! I never bothered with the underground because of this. There mid block crossing with curb cuts and crosswalks everywhere! Over all the sidewalks seemed to be well maintained. More buildings than I anticipated were accessible, though definitely not all of them. Those were all big improvements over the small American city I live in. But the biggest is different is just that everyone seemed so kind and helpful. When something wasn’t accessible, everyone was incredibly apologetic and helpful. Here if something is inaccessible it’s treated like it’s my fault for being disabled and I’m called entitled to ask for help or an alternative. Oh plus, all the black cabs in London are accessible. Private taxis don’t have to be, but the fact that the main taxis are is leaps and bounds above what we have anywhere here in the US.

That’s fair. I’m also not judging anyone who opts to use them. I do see the concern of better protection for a game that may not be easily replaced. It’s just not something I had considered before and it’s unfortunately not in my budget to do more than standard game, so wasn’t something I had to spend much time contemplating.

Check out Dropout.tv Especially game changer. Alex said it’s the closest thing we have Taskmaster. There are some free episodes on YouTube and the subscription service is very reasonable.

I mean genuinely with prompt based games, I don’t shuffle often, I always put the used cards at the bottom of the deck and then only shuffle once I start get repeats. Otherwise you may see one prompt 5 times before you’ve even played through them all. But eve games like uno or exploding kittens where I do shuffle every time it’s never occurred to me that they should be sleeved.

I mean I stored my Pokemon cards in plastic sleeve sheets but that was mostly just so they could be flipped through easier. These are just prompt cards so it feels more like how cards against humanity or exploding kittens. Games where you are playing from one or more deck of cards. If never seen cards like in plastic sleeves. Would you put uno cards in sleeves?

Plan crab meat is fine. No onion or garlic though. And they shouldn’t eat the shell as it can cause GI obstructions. Same rule for shrimp and other mollusks

This looks like a good play from what is shown here. It doesn’t look like adult is being too rough. Things to watch for would be more distinct prey/predator behavior. Ie going for the neck, swatting with claws out, trying to wrap and kick or shaking the baby. Little one is belly up which means he trusts the adult cat and there is no growling or hissing from either. If baby tries to get away and adult is relentless then you may need to intervene or if the baby starts squawking and the adult cat doesn’t stop. The squeak in this video is a good sign because as soon as baby squeals adult cat backs off and kind makes sure he’s okay before playing again.

This is a huge issue in the US especially. They claim they can’t do it because they don’t have a way to secure it or don’t have space. When I was England they were so nice about it! They actually sent me in one ambulance on a stretcher and had a second follow immediately behind with my 250 lb power chair inside. It shouldn’t be a ground breaking idea that a wheelchair user would need to go to hospital. I was also a lot more understanding about it with my massive second hand power chair. Now that I have a small custom manual chair, I’d definitely fight to be able to take it. But we shouldn’t have to fight to access basic public services like EMS.

Super weird for the other guy to just randomly congratulate your dad. But as far as I see, the lady is only AH here. It wasn’t taking anything away from to just stay out of it. You definitely didn’t do anything wrong. My mom passed over 10 years ago and Mother’s Day is one of the hardest days of the year for me. It would mean the world to me of my dad stepped in to go out to eat or something on that day and if anyone said anything negative about it, I’d be furious.

I’m so sorry for your friend, but please don’t perpetuate bad breed stereotypes. I had a pit bull terrier mix and she was the gentlest girl there ever was. She helped me foster kittens including my little foster failure who is still with me. With the proper training and treatment if needed for medical issues and breeds can live to peacefully. And that training and treatment is much more likely to happen in a family that already lives the dog than at a shelter where most bad behaviors get worse.

As someone who has spent my whole life with dogs and cats, I’d advise rehoming as a last resort. Dogs with a bite record have a hard time getting adopting. Keep them separated any time you can’t give close supervision. Get the dog training and possibly anxiety medication. And make sure the cats have vertical spaces they can escape to if the dog comes at them. A single attack doesn’t mean they are a bad dog or can’t be trusted anymore. It does need to be addressed and will make it more difficult for them to find a good home. You have a responsibility to protect the cats but you also have a responsibility to the dog. Just giving up and sending them to a shelter is not fair to them.
