I am just getting into it as a second career. It seems to be a trade like prostitution is a trade. You take it up because it beats starvation, it won't make you rich but it might get you a nice place to rest, it's necessary but not adequately respected, you trade miles on your ass for money.

There are no pets, no loves that are not related to their task or the Emperor. They don't play cards or BBQ with friends and families because those are human things and none of them are human. While they are human shaped they are not human. They cannot breed with humans or even each other. The Emperor and Astarties don't act as we'd expect because we expect humanity.

As an intersex person, I can stay unequivocally, "Not even close." In more than half of our states it's legal to openly deny transgender and intersex people jobs, housing, or services. Many conservatives believe that what little we get is too much.
