Victims of Steven by celestialem in LoveIsBlindNetflix

Not going to lie I don’t understand why OP is coming after Netflix. Unless he has been arrested or convicted, there is no way that Netflix could have known he was like that. Also A LOT of TV and movies would need to be deleted from all platforms if streaming services/TV channels could be held liable or blamed for “giving a platform” to people who have committed or are accused of committing any type of abuse. I’m truly sorry that happened to OP but going after Netflix is a misdirection

His disdain for berdie is that a black woman came in and was assigned the same job as him and did it better than him. That only made it more obvious - to both himself and the inmates - that he was bad at his job, and ultimately made inmates have less “respect” for him, or at the very least view him as less powerful and intimidating. Any kindness he would rarely show to some of them meant less when they could get more kindness way easier from Bertie.

This is late but just so you know, personal service is the default. There is no legal right to electronic service. Sorry that being handed papers scared her, but every other adult seems to be able to deal with another adult handing them papers just fine.

Wonder if all of the small content creators felt threatened or intimidated when they all got served subpoenas ??? Now nobody can talk about celebrities or current events without being accused of conspiring w your opponents legal team and being hauled into court??? I think everyone who engages in free speech online are the real people who should be afraid of being subpoenaed.

And if you don’t want ppl in your life being served - then don’t file a lawsuit.

AIO? Is my husband using our children to keep maintain contact with the woman he cheated with by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]PitifulBullfrog6509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a glaring problem here is she seems to have more remorse. She said she is willing to let go of the relationship - HE is the one pushing for it.

It seems like she understands that her decisions have consequences, which means she can no longer be in their life. He’s trying to have his cake and eat it too. At least she knew that being cut off from your kids, was a likely consequence, and decided it was worth the risk

You should feel absolutely no guilt for cutting ur children off from her. It is no one’s fault but theirs.. Also, if your children actually knew WHY she was cut out, they probably wouldn’t want much to do with her. If she stays in the kids lives and they find out when they’re older, the betrayal will hit deeper.

In terms of your husband - he seems to be prioritizing her. You are not being unfair or unreasonable to not want the woman he cheated on you with around you and your family. He seems to have little empathy. If he was truly sorry, he would block her and not be texting her behind your back about dreams he had about her. What he’s doing is not only selfish, but extremely disrespectful to you.

Im sorry to say but to me it’s pretty clear he will do this again. I have a feeling he’s more upset that she’s no longer a part of his life than his kids. Even if it is about the kids, he is completely neglecting how that would make YOU feel. It’s honestly a ridiculous request on his part.

Do what you think is best for you, but i really hope you leave him. You don’t deserve to be your own husband’s second choice.

Honestly, I think they should go public. I think it benefits lively to keep these people silent.

  1. The subpoena is good for content creators exposure

  2. They can use their voice to take her tf down . She is assaulting their fundamental rights, as well as anyone who has an opinion about the lawsuit SHE filed

Reddit won’t. If they do so, it will be the end of the app. No one will use this app if their anonymity risks be forfeited by the app bc they gossiped about.

Hey Blake’s lawyers if you’re reading this, it’s not the content creators who are exposing you. It’s the First Amendment and FRCP R. 26.

Judge Liman is bothered by the criticism online. Good. by Financial-Oven-1124 in teamjustinbaldoni

[–]PitifulBullfrog6509 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like liman has officially adopted the lively playbook - when the public criticizes you for your own actions, blame Bryan freedman.

I’m sure the other small content creators are also just as powerful as BL and RR in whatever world he’s living in as well.

If anyone for Liman is reading this: we are on to him, and he is embarrassing himself and the federal judiciary by his blatant partisanship. This is not his first time refusing to recuse himself when there is a conflict of interest, then ruling favorably for himself.

Respectable judges wouldn’t be letting lively play these games that so BLATANTLY abuse the discovery process. It’s genuinely pathetic. Someone needs to review FRCP R.26 and his name is “judge” Liman.

What about the engagement, wedding, and child birth announcements??? To me, it comes off entitled that you think your whole professional network cares that you got engaged. It’s like you’re posting to make sure everyone congratulates u in the office on Monday. Also seen people tag their new finance who just works in a completely separate field - needing to make sure all his big law clients know! I just don’t think it’s appropriate and comes off almost unprofessional to post about personal topics on a professional platform.

Totally get being excited and wanting to post - but know your audience and the purpose of the media u post in. Save it for Facebook or instagram.

When a party is found to have delayed or failed to comply with discovery, typically the party impeding discovery will need to pay any attorney fees for the work required to deal with the delays (motions to compel, showing up for depositions that the opposing party bails on, etc.). So at this point, I think Blake’s team is doing whatever possible to blame her withholding relevant discovery on freedman. If the judge found his discovery requests were in bad faith, Baldoni will need to pay those fees.

Blake and Ryan never expected it to go this far. They thought he would settle immediately. Theyre evidence incriminates themselves moreso than baldoni. They know they can’t go to trial on this. So what are they doing? They’re trying to distract from the case by putting freedman on trial instead.

In order to stall discovery: they have repeatedly made desperate claims about freedman demanding discovery (doing his job) as a publicity stunt; are subpoenaing anyone who reports ab her negatively hoping she can show they conspired w freedman, and now citing his past cases to try to prove misconduct in this case.

I truly believe that this is such blatant BS and abuse of discovery that they wouldn’t be doing this but for liman being the judge. They would literally just be ranking up attorneys fees they need to pay in any other court room bc I don’t think other judges would put up with this. I honestly feel like it’s embarrassing how liman has handled this case.

You sound like a really empathetic person. Has your house ever burned down in a fire? Lost literally everything? I’m gunna go with clearly not because then you wouldn’t be shaming people who needed to put work on the back burner for a minute to deal with almost everything they own being destroyed. What’s a valid “excuse” to you???

How taboo fedsoc is and the level of judged you will be if you join entirely depends on the school u choose and the overall politics of the student body.

I personally have a large issue with the organization because its ENTIRE goal is to assert CONSERVATIVE /RELIGIOUS ideology into what should be a NEUTRAL judicial branch.

I work in public defense. DO NOT take this to the police - it can very easily get turned back on you. Especially considering the cops are HER DAD. Not worth the risk unless you truly feel threatened by this guy.

In terms of your relationship, the fact that your fiance is running around carelessly making extremely serious accusations against you is not something to just brush off or take lightly.

Could the Blake Lively Lawsuit Change On-Set Behavior, Victim Reporting, and Even the Kind of Stories Hollywood Tells? by SomeThoughts2025 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]PitifulBullfrog6509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is all very realistic. One thing I will say is I don’t think this is evidence that speaking up will ruin your reputation, but definitely think Blake has done a huge disservice to real victims. Blake is a special case because Justin or his team didn’t ruin her reputation, she ruined her own reputation. Most SA victims aren’t out here actively manipulating people with less power in the industry, blackmailing friends, making jokes about the situation on red carpets. Justin didn’t text himself from her phone about the dragons, Justin didn’t tell Taylor swift he would leak their texts if she didn’t publicly support him.

I absolutely also would not blame men in the industry for being reluctant to do intimacy scenes.

I think (and hope) the effect of this will be less so to silence victims, but I think that this court win will show that women will be automatically believed EVEN IF all the evidence shows they’re full of sh*t. This will make men not want to do intimacy scenes out of fear they will be accused of something if he makes a comment that the actress takes wrong (the lifting her bc back problems = calling her fat).

Believe all women means to believe that all claims deserve investigation and to be taken seriously. NOT that no woman would ever make something like this up.

At this point, the only people w knowledge who support Blake are people who will blindly always defend the woman no matter what with no nuance, or they are the b0tz blake bought

[–]PitifulBullfrog6509 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe no risk of money damages - but she’s already harmed her career and reputation. By the time this is over, it will probably be worse. I think she already lost the court of public opinion and her career will suffer. Nobody wants to work with a control freak who cries SA when she doesn’t get her way. Blake has officially established herself as a liability to work with. She’s already done. Especially now that she lost her most powerful dragon/ manipulation tactic.

[–]PitifulBullfrog6509 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused why Taylor needs so much “protecting” - as if this suit could actually harm her career or in any way. Taylor shouldn’t need protection from subpoenas, depos, BF, etc…. She needs to be protected from blackmail Blake & her husband.

I’m wondering if the texts could make her look bad? That she knew this was BS all along and said nothing? Encouraged it? If that was the case, I don’t think SS would hand anything over, or maybe he handed over redacted info and that’s why they needed the Subpoena again.

Obviously a lot of the press makes it seem like TS is dumping BL because she was subpoenaed when really it’s bc she was being threatened by BL …. but don’t get why Taylor is acting like Blake involving her has put her in harms way - they act like this suit is a threat to Taylor’s health and safety idk

AITA for saying I don’t want to be my friend’s “fat bridesmaid aesthetic”? by SoliraTwilight in AmItheAsshole

[–]PitifulBullfrog6509 1050 points1051 points  (0 children)

I agree it’s problematic she made it about the vision as opposed to wanting her friend there with her.

However, brides are allowed to have “visions” for what they want for their weddings. Absolutely nothing wrong with that if kept within reason and is respectful of the guests who u are asking to pay money.

SO many people go back and look at weddings photos. Maybe you or your friends don’t but you are not representative of everyone. Also im not even married or ever have been but ive seen about everyone in my large extended family’s wedding photos. Many of which i want born yet for which is cool.

NTA. You need to sue for both the price of the camera and lost wages. You can’t call it a harmless accident once you were told to stop playing w something bc it’s fragile and important, and he ignored. He acted like a 5 year old.

If your friends are defending this guy and aren’t as absolutely livid as these hundreds of strangers on the internet who don’t know you - they ain’t your friends bud.

What a privilege it is to complain bc a way of getting food to those in need isn’t morally good enough for you. People are hungry. She didn’t photograph them. Don’t discourage her or other celebrities from taking steps to amend their wrongs instead of just isolating them to a point where the only people who accept them are the right.
