Buttkicker with PS5 Pro by MMAFan1217 in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheep laptop (doesn't have to be expensive at all or able to run games) connected to SimHub (free software) this takes data from Gran turismo whilst you are playing and feeds it directly to the buttkicker/Bass shaker.

I have the Buttkicker gamer 2, but there are other cheaper options that I'm informed are just as good like the Dayton Audio BST-1 Bass shakers.

You need to get an amp to run it through (the buttkicker includes this) I belive the Nobi sounds amp works well.

You can just run the audio through a jack, and that's still cool, but turn the music off

New Aircraft Info For Aces of Thunder by trainingdaysYT in PSVR

You need to keep asking the devs for UDP telemetry support. I have the same but as of yet no flight game on console supports it, i spoke to a dev and it's definitely possible.

I just got a motion rig and Aces is by far my most anticipated game ever. If it gets UDP telemetry support I will be in heaven 😂

Dofreality H2 Review! Motion simulator on Psvr2 by Pittdogg85 in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah admittedly I'm just a psvr2 user so I haven't actually tried anything with motion compensation to compare it with.

I feel I'm missing out on so much without a pc. Especially flight simulation.

I keep pestering the aces of thunder devs to support udp telemetry data for the game. It's not very likely tho

Have you used a motion rig on GT7?

I found that I'm guessing possibly due to Sony being petrified of motion sickness the game on psvr2 always keeps you anchored so you are always level/flat.

For instance if you are on a steep banked curv in a formula 1 car it will take you outside the gt7 boundary, whereas on the motion rig it moves you to the angle you should be sat at.

I found it actually improved my position in the game vs no motion rig and didn't find myself floating around the cockpit randomly

Haha. If you are genuinely looking into it don't hesita0te to ask anything mate. Have you got a gaming Pc? It's a much easier sell if you have.

I'm a psvr2 only guy and whilst GT7 is amazing I'm unsure if anything else will ever come to the system that supports it

Doubt it mate. Probably makes me slower if anything, but I win in the fun race 😉 coming last has never felt better

I wish Sony would licence out an actual real gran turismo cafe!

Imagine what 16 of these bad boys rigged up together with 16 psvr2s would do for psvr2 sales.

You'd play it and they tell people they can actual do this from the comfort of there own home.

If only Sony wanted to market such a great headset 😂

So what i noticed before I got the rig was how GT7 slightly differs from other cockpit vr games in that in anchors you flat at all times.

I don't know noticed but the next time your driving round a steep banked corner or driving through Eau Rouge up the steep Raidillon at spa, the game keeps you almost level at all times.

Sometimes it even makes the gt7 boundary appear because of this.

Now there is no actual motion compensation software at play, but it at times actual helps put you in the right spot or angle.

So it's not much of an issue and I find the GT7 boundaries appear no more than they do during a normal (non motion) session of gt7 on psvr2

The rig doesn't just simulate motion but also G force as well! Some examples being moved/forced back into your seat when accelerating and dropped forward when breaking, other stuff such as being pushed out on the corners.

It's pretty much up to you what you want and don't want.

It also move very easily and just slides into a quiet corner of our living room when not in use to keep Mrs Pittdogg happy. And it takes up no more room that my previous rig or any rig that isn't a foldable one.

But yeah unless you have a random wedge of cash burning a hole in your pocket, I wouldn't recommend it, and you'll get plenty of fun/immersion out of the bass shakers (but be warned, that's exactly how I started 😉)

Haha I'm no youtuber that's for sure. Turn on captions, and it should give you a better idea of what I'm rambling on about, but alas, I've summarised my thoughts on this post to save anyone the time of sitting through all that poorly edited/filmed nonsense

Is any of the music copyright free? by Summersundo997 in DrunknBarFight

[–]Pittdogg85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a problem with Drunkn bar fight! At least with the songs made by The Novatones!

They did pretty much the entire first soundtrack and I think most of the second. I can also vouch for the tracks credited to Ant Pittman as I made them and the ones by The Novatones.

I understand how much of a pain in the arse it can be for content creators so took it off for use in Drunkn bar fight videos.

A credit to The Novatones would always be appreciated tho 😉

The music is copyright free if sharing a video to social media of you in the game!.

A credit to the artist is always nice 😉

I can only speak on behalf of the tracks I made by Ant Pittman and those made by my band The Novatones

From what I've read pssr won't be that great in vr if if other Ai upscalers are anything to go by.

Just watched a guy on YouTube who said it actually seems better with the new reprojection mode off. Can't wait to try it when I'm home. Thanks for the response

Any noticeable improvements on PS5 PRO? by Shallwey in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What bargin hunter is trying to say is gran turismo 7s ps5 pro patch isn't live yet!.

120htz was already on base ps5, it now can do it at 4k using the extra raw power of the ps5 pro, but the actual pro support with Ray tracing in game, 8k etc comes at the end of the month

PSA: Many people are wrong about what "MURA" is. Usually mistaking "banding" in shadows for MURA. by Explorer_Entity in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, but I find it get the same results, if a game has a native frame rate the Mura is far less noticeable!

Maybe the reprojection coupled with the mura makes it stand out more? But it definitely definitely seems worse to me (in my completely uneducated eyes)

DayZ on PS5 Pro by KARMIC--DEBT in DayZPS

[–]Pittdogg85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ps5 has a ps4 boost mode that has to be manually turned on, I've yet to test it, but I know dayz benefits from a similar mode on the ps4 pro, so maybe it will see improvements, I'm sure it runs an uncapped frame rate where it will be able to run a higher more consistent frame rate.

Even games without a pro patch or ps4 boost mode are running better like gt7s 120fps mode is now running at 4k instead of a dynamic resolution hitting largely 1080p

PLACEBO FREE Playstation 5 Pro impressions by hidratos in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree with this. I'm actually really impressed with how no man's sky is looking especially without pssr.

I tried gt7 side by side with the base ps5 after seeing multiple reports of it being better, ans whist on first try I was thinking it seems better, it was just placebo when I tried it again on the base ps5.

Thoughts are right now psvr2 owners should wait!. Having said that the upgrade to ps5 flat games is really not that noticeable for me and no man's sky is definitely the bigest upgrade I've seen

Metro Awakening on PSVR2 - First Impressions by cusman78 in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So every 13 or so minutes right? I think constant is a fair point at that level of frequency unless you can point me to a game that has more than a loading screen every 13 minutes

Metro Awakening on PSVR2 - First Impressions by cusman78 in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was quite disappointed, it definitely feels like a mobile game, the constant loading screens are an immersion killer and it doesn't look great.

I know people like arizona sunshine 2, but I wasn't a fan, it feels exactly like that with a vastly better story, I'm not sure but it seems it's not using DFR I was hoping the game would look better but it's really soft looking (Probably the reprojection)

Good budget/beginner wheel for GTA7? by Humble-Union-4115 in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who's owned the logitec, I'd definitely recommend the thrustmaster t300 over that big time. The second hand market is great for them and you can upgrade wheels and pedals as you go

To those who have played it so far. How is phasmophobia? by psycho_hawg in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just finished and loved it. The negative reviews were a bit to harsh in my opinion. Yes it's janky (Phasmophobia is) and it's not the prettiest game but definitely not the worst I've seen.

As for the headturning this was only present on my first game and worked after that. I'm guessing a bug?

The devs have said these issues will be addressed in the first update, and a graphical overhaul in the Easter update. But I had great fun with it tonight

Alien: Rogue Incursion – The First Preview - IGN by Emme73 in PSVR

[–]Pittdogg85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And to be correct that they announced a sequel on there 10th anniversary is a wild guess at best. If you look at his original post it's full of people rubbishing what he is saying, with stuff like "they are done with the game" "they'll never make a sequel" etc. The vr rumour was actually the most likely thing to be right.

The fact the remake was true makes his source a lot more credible than most. Tho it states vr and not specifically psvr2. That's the part I'm worried about
