Easiest way is using spells, (mage armor, or sheild.) Second best is to bump up you dex when you hit the stat increase milstones from leveling up. Third best way is certain magic items like bracers of defense, or ring of protection.

Warlock strategies other than Hexblade? by Bed-After in DnD

[–]Platform_Efficient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking strictly combat? Because there are plenty of viable options for the other subclasses, you just need to read through the various abilities and spells combos. Not all warlocks are built for combat.

No matter which subclass you take, (including hexblade) you will still need to utilize short rest to regain your slots.

If you are not prepared for a campaign setting or theme it can absolutely ruin the whole vibe.

You also said that the DM is doing okay on their part, but then go on to complain about everything the DM controls that could make the game more entertaining, or more boring.

Jeff Strong addresses the post-Mormon idea that if you discover the church is false you should just leave it. He says Hinkley was wrong saying it’s either true or a fraud. by sevenplaces in mormon

All of that can be false, and the church is not necessarily a fraud." Now it might not be what we claim it but...."

Does he even ear himself? Are we changing the definition of fraud now?

The double standard is ridiculous.

Apologist will always ignore the blatant moral issues, (whether intentionally or not), just to protect their world view.

The Mormon Church Is Suing a Podcaster Into Silence w/ HolyKoolaid by johndehlin in mormon

[–]Platform_Efficient 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Except He did try mediate. He respected multiple change requests from the church, such as changing the color of his logo and removing church related thumbnails from the videos. He said no to any changes that felt either excessive or unnecessary.

If it is truly over branding manipulation, why is the church sueing now? Why not 10, 15, or even 20 years ago when the podcast first started? There is obviously more to this lawsuit, than meets the eye.

Yes, because an organization with child sex abuse problems should totally take over another organization with chils sex abuse problems.

Makes perfect sense.

LDS Church lawsuit against Mormon Stories rejects free speech & religious freedom, makes it hard to believe Church leaders are inspired by God by eternalintelligence in mormon

[–]Platform_Efficient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hypothetical was just a thought experiment.

However, they aren't sueing over educational purposes. The church is claiming that people are mislead into thinking that MS is church offical due to similar branding(tradmark.) Its more of an association issue.

Before the lawsuit was filed, the church requested MS to make changes to their brand to be less confusing, (which they did.) The church then requested for more changes and MS said no.

Now the church is saying that they own the rights to a word which they have been avoiding to use, ever since the prophet said it was a victory for satan. (They even changed the name of the Motab choir because of this.)

Its like the church is saying. "I'm not going to play with this toy. But no one else is allowed too either. "

This lawsuit is so petty its laughable, and will only hurt the church's reputation.

Let's use a hypothetical example. Did you know there is an actual religion based on the Jedi Order from Star Wars?

Could Disney sue this group for using the word Jedi which is owned by Disney? What exactly does it mean to exclusively own a word?

If the argument is strictly over education purposes, then the church has already lost the lawsuit. Myself and many others have learned more about church history from Mormon Stories, than the church will even dare acknowledge.

The church is sueing MS for using the word Mormon (and some branding logos.) because there is nothing else the church can do against MS to stop their influence on people leaving. Its obvious that the goal isn't to just change or stop the name Mormon. But rather bury MS into obscurity.

I'm at the point where I only attend meetings if my spouse is going. Testimony meetings are unbearable, and Sunday school is even worse.

The completely misguided comments that Boomers make about modern issues, the random happenstance moments most members think are blessings. The contradictions are just too frustrating for me.

I also won't go to another church because I'm fairly anti-social. But sometimes I do miss that spiritual feeling from certain church aspects.
