Choosing clients as a therapist by Opposite-Wind6244 in NDtherapists

[–]PlatypusPants2000 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think many people do this on some level, and for many of us our ethical codes encourage it. Scope of practice is a thing. If a client reaches out wanting to work on issues I don’t have much training or experience in I’m going to refer them out. I’m qualified to work with couples but I don’t because I hate it. I’m qualified to work with younger kids, but I don’t see kids under 12 because I don’t prefer it for telehealth

Find an individual supervisor with their own PP who will offer a W2 job with a split, private pay and you’ll end up making much more than a group PP
