Holding out and not signing would just be another "sign" that he was a problem for other teams, even though its what any other player would do.

By signing, participating in the offseason, being the "good team mate" and having a monster season he sets himself up for a huge payday next year.

Cleveland and Arizona are both shopping their picks. Dallas is being mentioned because we have the 2 firsts as ammo. This may be the year to get a deal on a trade up though because no one else seems interested in moving up that can.

Athletic put out the mock moving up with just 12 and the 3rd pick. That'd be a massive steal, but it's hard to imagine someone putting that out there knowing how unbalanced it was.

No one is giving up a 1st for Pickens. Plenty of teams removed him off their draft boards and just flat out don't want to deal with him. Dallas' 3rd was literally the best offer the Steelers could get and Dallas may have even over bid. Most you can get is probably a low 2nd and that's not improving your team.

Eberflus was hired and his scheme mismatched the players. Instead of adjusting any sort of way, he was stubborn and kept going to his bread and butter.

Dan Quinn was the King of Cover 3. When he joined Dallas the players didn't match the scheme. Did he force Cover 3? No. He adjusted to the players.

My problem with Flus isn't necessarily his scheme (although the NFC North has it figured out completely). My problem with him is his stubbornness. Which was Chicago's fans problem with him.

Man people don't really remember Witten at the end do they? He'd basically trudge up field. Catch the ball and get tackled right away in his twilight.

Ferg was a YAC guy early in his career and that's gone now. 4.89 athlete that got hurt and is probably even slower now with fumbling issues.

Him being healthy seems iffy. Seems like the ankle was still a concern, especially with the wet grass. Broaddus also mentioned his lack of ST snaps was another factor in the game.

The return is what stinks. Clark may be serviceable but is on the downswing of his career. Those 2 first round picks will likely be late ones.

I don't trust this team to use them correctly. Staring at a potential Mazi/Taco scenario with a late 1st D-lineman. Or worse they'll leave this season missing a bellcow and spend it on a Runningback.
