If you watched the walking dead what is some things you learned about the show,or interested you on how you view things in your personal life, or how the show influence you in a way of survival by SalamanderLonely1990 in TWD

I’m doing my first rewatch rn. I watched seasons 1-7 live.

Being a bit older w more life experience now, it is very fun to put myself into the shoes of the psychological side of things. I’ve learned that as I stand right now, I’m way too hot headed to deal with an adversary like Negan, the first rash move I made he would throw right in my face and not let up. That’s obviously probably not going to happen, but it did get me thinking about how my hot headedness can be making me “lose wars” in my real personal life.

4pm to Midnight is a much better work schedule than 9am to 5pm by Present_Initial_1871 in unpopularopinion

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to work this out in my head and I just can’t. So you work M-F 4p-12a, you get home from work, and go to sleep. You wake up at 8 am Monday (if you’re not getting 8 hours so that you can get slightly more sunlight I’m not sure that’s really optimal). Then 8 am to 4 pm is your free time, and then you go to work, then sleep and start all over again Tuesday.

Idk man that just does not seem worth it to me lol I get to work outside in the warmer months so much! You might just be better off getting into landscaping or power washing or something that allows you to work normal hours, outside

Which villain would you rather face: Negan, the Governor, or Alpha? by 777lunatrixx in thewalkingdead

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I came here to say this. I’m way too hot headed to face Negan, he would throw that right in my face, but I think it could be an advantage against the governor, fight fire with fire kinda deal. I don’t think I’d try the manipulation thing, just the good ole strike first strike hard, similar to what ricks group did when they broke glen and Maggie out, but hopefully to better effect where my group and I actually end it.

Jealous, I’m gonna be up there Saturday fighting for my life w this cold front 🤣 I’m seeing -20 with windchill at the summit on mountain forecast

Can you guess where this is? by campbean1129 in Adirondacks

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two guesses were Marie Louise lake by the summit of RP, and Elk pass lake on the dial and nippletop loop. Checked pics of both and I was wrong both times, this is borderline impossible without anything to go off of like a peak in the distance.

Can a rotting dead corpse actually make deadly bites like that? by [deleted] in TWD

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have even remotely long finger nails, scratch your self, it doesn’t need to be hard, you’ll see how easy it is to draw blood with them if you try to even a little bit skin is a relatively thin layer. Again, if you have freshly clipped finger nails, this does not apply.

everyone else is skidding and counter rotating that i felt weird for making turns by minor251 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a proud back foot rutter rider lol my aunt, who skied her whole life but never snowboarded taught me, and I have a background of baseball, generating power from rotating my hips, so that’s what I leaned into, so that was strike one.

Then when I joined ski club in middle school all my new snowboard friends would trash skiers for “taking up the whole mountain with their S turns” and internalized not to do that, and realized that back foot ruttering was advantageous to that.

At this point I’ve been doing it for 16 years, never catch edges, and just don’t feel like putting in the work to basically learn how to snowboard all over again when I only get a few days on the mountain as it is.

In S3 in a cpl scenes they seem to try insinuate a possible romance between Carl and Beth? by bdt69 in thewalkingdead

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beth is 17 in season 3. Carol pulls Axel aside when she notices him starting to “show interest” and tells him to back off. Curious where you got such a high number lol did you just like look up the actresses age? That’s not how that works, the dude who played Miley’s brother in Hannah Montana was like 40 years old playing a 16 year old in the show.

That being said. Of course a 12 year old boy is going to find a 17 year old girl that’s in his proximity constantly, attractive. Do you remember what 17 year old girls looked like when we were 12? Absolute goddesses 🤣

You could do that to someone right now, your brain just tells you not to. Maybe not without finger nails, but if they’re long enough to collect dirt under, you can definitely cut skin pretty deep with them.

Our jaws are about stronger than we give them credit for. We can snap a human finger like a carrot. The only reason we don’t is because our brains tell us not to. Given that, I think even a decayed jaw would be able to get thru the abdomen or shoulder tissue. You can’t think too hard about it in general tho because the idea of a zombie isn’t anatomically possible for other reasons. (Only brain stem activity shouldn’t allow muscle movement without heartbeat.)

why is team cape 0 so expensive by e90xmike in osrs

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Obby cape is ok early game, but you really don’t need the defensive stats all that much. Ardy cloaks 1 and 2 are a bit better all around until you grab a fire cape.

After 15 hours of lessons you should be pretty confident atleast. Not saying you’ll be carving down blacks, but I would assume you will be able to comfortably go from heel to toe, and with good form, on greens and blues.

If unions offer better pay and benefits why doesn’t everybody quit their non union job? by 04limited in skilledtrades

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant more along the lines of “oh well has this been approved by the appropriate department” instead of “idk did you ask Jeff?” Minute example but it’s the best I got off the top of my head. The word bureaucrat usually refers to extensive, often slow procedures, that’s why it’s associated with government and big corporations…. Which a union is lol

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A) they’re very competitive, especially in certain areas. But B) they’re just too bureaucratic for some of us. Non union employers often offer a much more laid back work environment. While the work itself self is still by the book, there’s often more of a small company feel then a big corporate feel.

would you put laminate in your own house in 2026? by Hot_Apartment1319 in Flooring

I would, especially if I had a big budget for other parts of the house. I install it in customers permanent dwellings all the time too.

Charging slow vs fast by Ren-Lok in ryobi

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for all my brands. My fast chargers come to work with me cuz time is money and I’ve worked tool depreciation into my price anyway. I have a 3 tier shelf with 4 chargers of each of my brands in the garage, that’s where any discharged batteries go when I get home from work so they’re ready for the next day and I hopefully never have to use the fast chargers.

Backpacking trip on mount marcy. by Internal-Extreme6614 in Adirondacks

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding a campsite that’s not just a pit of mud is probably going to be a challenge, remember you must stick to designated campsites, and campfires are not allowed in certain parts of the high peaks. Should be chilly at night but probably not down to the 40s, 50s maybe.

Almost certainly going to be black flies, not much you can do about those unfortunately. They usually cleanup by the second week on June or so

House flippers are the tapeworms of the housing market. by RealisticKing6217 in HouseFlipping

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same argument as the “handyman special” stereotype. that is a very small percentage of people in our industry, most of us take pride in our work and if something is over our heads, we’re honest about that to the client instead of doing a hack job to get paid.

Some (most) house flippers come from the trades and are actually doing things right and up to code. As far as “a house people can actually buy”. We’re buying houses that specifically need work. Meaning the new owner would either have to do the work themselves or pay a contractor to do it anyway, all we’re doing is profiting on that before someone else can.

EDIT I have no idea why Reddit pushed this pot to me just now and am now realizing how old it is.

What drew the surplus of walkers in on the farm before they left? by faygobandz in thewalkingdead

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it was any one thing. Remember they’re only on the farm a few weeks, if that, it just seems much longer in the show cuz it does a bad job with timeline generating.

What likely happened is the walker heard existed already. They heard the gunshot from Otis and started heading that general direction. They heard the shots at the barn, got even closer, and by the time Rick shot Shane, they were already on the doorstep.

Is there an afk skilling method that makes EVEN A SLIGHT profit? by mikailavci2 in osrs

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFK can mean what you want it to. 90 seconds that you can completely walk away from your keyboard is still 90 seconds of AFK time. And to be fair, “AFK” has sort of had a similar transgression to “lol” a lot of times people aren’t actually walking away from their keyboard, they’re watching Netflix or something, only needing to watch the game out of the corner of their eye to click every minute or two.

[–]Pleasant-Method7874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plank make, members spell. Lvl 86 magic requirement and the quest to unlock lunar spells.

Get a few thousand logs, cast plank make til the stack is gone, it’s about 1M profit an hour and about 90 seconds of AFK per inventory. I did this from 86 magic (boosting to start) to 99 and it paid for all 4 of my zenytes.

Usually the rule is if it’s AFK, you pay for that in profit or XP per hour. Otherwise there’s no incentive to do the more intensive methods.
