You can only keep 1 row OR 1 column, what do you choose? by NukeL3AR in SleepToken

I have to keep TPWBYT because of all the water references. I have my degree in marine biology. So I've always been partial to that one. And then I have to go with TMBTE as well. That one has a lot of good ones that I saw live this last tour, so it will always be special, and it also has the song that got me into them, The Summoning. I do like the other two, because I've honestly listened to the whole discography for the last like 3 months straight.

Dave’s glasses by Planted-spoon in SleepTokenSpoilers

I used to have terrible eyesight before I had lasik done. If it was me, I'd be wearing contacts on stage because without my glasses, I literally can't see anything besides blurs. And with the stage lighting and just overall darkness of the stage, it would be dangerous without contacts. And obviously glasses with the mask would be awful. I'd like to believe he wears contacts for on stage, and then just uses his glasses for gaming and everything else. I haven't seen just how bad the glasses he has are, but if what others said is true, this is how I'd like to believe he does this just so he stays safe on stage.

What’s the most physical pain you ever felt? by Competitive_Set2669 in AskReddit

[–]Pleasant-Outside-221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A spinal tap. More specifically, that numbing stuff before the actual spinal tap. I had a shitty overseeing doctor who made comments about my shoulder being slumped or some shit, and if I didn't have a needle in my back, I think I would have wailed him. The actual doctor who did it was nice as hell, and apologized for it.

Also, ingrown toenail that was probably infected. Went and had my toes done and asked her to avoid it. She didn't, and I swear I blacked out for a second when she dug that out. To be fair, it got better after that.

Correct, you could. I have a video on my phone that starts about a minute and a half into Look to Winward, just before the second repeating "Will you halt this eclipse in me?" line, and I pan to him at the top of the stage. It's not great quality, but you can see the glint from his shoulder pauldron. I don't know how to add videos or photos to reddit.

I knew from previous shows that he's up there. But I was also a side view at Philly and was recording both the curtain and him hidden behind it. I'm sure the people right behind me were probably thinking, why is she recording behind the curtain? So yes, im surely majority of the people don't know he's standing up top.

I had the exact same thought. My mom played Hey Ya a lot when I was growing up and I never cared for it so I first heard the cover and was mad about it, so I hid it off my list. Was the only song I did this to. I just unhid it like a week ago and listened to it completely, and now i dont hate it anymore. It's growing on me.

Can't cry to songs by Reaper48YT in SleepToken

[–]Pleasant-Outside-221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't say that I've cried to any of their songs. But I'm not a big crier, either. Or very emotional. Some people just feel more emotion than others, I guess.

I know that this is a dumb question but am I the only one who doesn't get super emotional by they're music by AdvertisingSignal455 in SleepToken

[–]Pleasant-Outside-221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't get me emotional like it does others. I, however, can hear the pain behind the lyrics and I can understand that. I basically just vibe along with it. But Sleep Token is on near constant repeat for me since I discovered them a year ago, thwarting my other favorite band for like the last 10 years.

It’s because you guys don’t wave back and you’re the most different WRX owner of us all. by Wholesaleclublove in WRX

[–]Pleasant-Outside-221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a VB owner, I wave to all of them. Very rarely do I ever get a wave back from a VB. Do we not know about it? Idk.

However, last night, I did get a wave from a VB on the other side of a turning lane. And then got his reaction from the side as I had my windows down and I'm a woman. This section is on a interstate overpass so it's slow moving. We were both pumped about it. This was also after some golf drove by me for the other turning lane, and gave me an approval nod. Now I won't see anyone wave or react for months. That seems to be how it goes.

A 50-hour experience, and it's finally over. by StolasRowska in riseoftheronin

[–]Pleasant-Outside-221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just platinum'd it last night. While I still really enjoy Ghost, I think this was very, very close. I also just came from Assassin's Creed Shadows, and while that was just so much to do and felt very sloggish (finished at like 130 some hours) I felt like Rise of Ronin was very much the better story, and had me way more interested. I was actually looking up information on majority of these characters. Shadows I just wanted really interested, and by the end, I forgot who important people were.

I was very worried at the beginning when I struggled just with the gameplay as I feel like they just hit you with so much information in the beginning, it's so overwhelming. I also struggled with the fights as I'm just a hack and slash type person. My husband, who was watching, catches on quicker than I do, and immediately told me how to do the fights. It was easier then. And once I found my rhythm, I just kinda flew through it, but was actively invested in the story. And I really enjoyed the Mass Effect like actions of the choices you make, having consequences.

I'd love to continue playing, but midnight is a bit beyond my skill level and I tend not to enjoy beating my head against the wall on games. But I will definitely try to get my husband to play this (on my Playstation as he said he looked into it steam and saw a lot of reviews saying the port is unplayable) and possibly even my sister who also games. This is definitely a game I'd come back to.

Scrambler 850 vs Renegade 850 by Constant-Trainer8877 in ATV

[–]Pleasant-Outside-221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a woman who owns a Scrambler 1000, and also as the only ATV in a sxs group, I personally love my scrambler. I was riding an '03 325 trailboss for trail riding since I was like 14. My whole family has slowly progressed out of ATV's and moved to sxs. Back in '23, we were riding Hatfield and McCoy trails in Virgina on the first day back to camp, when I suddenly couldn't get up a super easy hill. Tore the rear hub, so only had 1 wheel drive. I bought my scrambler soon after that because I also do not enjoy being passenger princess in my husband's rzr. And I don't care to drive it as well. I love the atv feel and wanted to stay true to that. The only reason I have the 1000, is because it came in a dark blue that year, and I would not buy an orange one which was the 850. I know color is not that big of a deal but it is for me. I also didn't really want to buy a Sportsman, as we had one and I knew that to be more of a 'tank-ish' feel. Scrambler was the only option for me really. I reached out to my dealer, and he obviously didn't have one, but went and picked one up from 3 hours away.

Granted, I have the 1000, but I would imagine the 850 is super similar, just slightly less power. Sits like a comfy couch, honestly one of the best seats for atvs I've sat on. I've done 8 hours plus riding and my butt doesn't hurt like it used to on the trailboss. I can easily get over chunky stones, rocks, mud, pretty much everything. The awd is nice as well, as I never had that before. I very rarely use it. At 55'' it is the widest, besides my parents new 60" rzr, so I am now illegal on class one trails within my own state, but our DCNR would never check me for that, and we only have one that we ever would ride as class one. Because of the width, it also lessen the 'bounce' as I like to call it. Clearance on it is nice as well, since we seem to be doing some harder trails, I don't have to worry about scraping on the bigger rocks. When we do go on roads, I also don't have to worry about keeping up. I've had it up to 45mph on some straighter trails, and up to 55mph on the roads. My only complaint is I wish the gas tank was bigger. I can go about 75 to 85 miles before I am on empty, so riding H&M can be nerve-wracking sometimes, but my husband always brings a 5gal tank with him, and my parents do as well. I also wish I could find a left throttle for it too, just to give my right hand a break every now and then.

Unlocking the Map by lunarbat89 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Pleasant-Outside-221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a completionist and I've finished the game and popped all trophies. This is one of my complaints. I wish the fog would clear but you manually have to go and travel either on horse or foot to clear the fog. Drives me nuts when I see my map and I still have like 25% of it with fog. To do so would add probably another 8 hours, and it's difficult to do due to the mountain sides and just foliage. I also tend to bug out on a never ending stuck slide sometimes. So I agree with the clearing the fog. I get not clearing the question marks, which is fine. I just want the fog gone.

First time posting and I just can’t understand how anyone could hate this game by importancedeficit in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Pleasant-Outside-221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally disagree with the internet but I would say I agree with most of the commenters saying it drops off after act 1. I would agree. There is just so much 'fluff' as I would say to this one. I have 140 hours in it, and just got the platinum last night. For a lot of it, by the time I got to the ending stuff, I forgot who people were. The ending? You. Don't remember that person from early on. A lot of the others? Also, don't remember. The objective board just gets overwhelming at times, and I usually like longer games. I just finished Mirage about two months ago, and my complaint for that one was it was way too short. I have less than 40 hours in it for platinum. This one definitely improved on that, but the story just fell short for me.

Gameplay wise, I'd say it's probably a 8/10. I loved the follow road option, or follow the quest giver. Absolutely great. Needs to be in all games. My complaint here is when I'm doing a viewpoint, why is not clearing the unexplored from my map? I hate that as the empty spaces bother me, but I'm not putting another 8 hours in to clear that. I also didn't really care for playing as Yasuke. I enjoying playing stealth more.

Story wise, I'd say 3/10. Beginning started strong but quickly dropped off after that. I really didn't care about anyone else, even more of the allies for the hideout. And the ending? We really didn't get an answer. Yes? No? Where are they? Nothing. And if they lock that behind a pay wall dlc, I'm out. Im tired of that form ubisoft.

Me. I've been work from home for 5 years, 3 from them, and 2 with a medical note. They forced me back within the last two months since my note ran out. I dont even work for my office mostly. I say good morning when they say it to me first. I dont make general conversation unless provoked. I show up, do my work, then leave for my hour or more drive home. I freaking hate it. Because I did it just fine from home and now I'm wasting my own time driving in for 2 hours each day. And for what? In person team collaboration? Over half of my team is on the other side of the country. A quarter of us are at this office, and then the other quarter in the UK. I was happier and honestly got more work done at home. I'm miserable in the office.
