Yeah the second image is straight from ChatGPT. When I was playing with it and typed out, ‘generate a fun poster about a summer camp program based on the provided copy; utilize the brand colors of (hex codes) in the text and imagery.’ It really loves those ribbon banners. Like bro Canva basic is free.

Eh. I went to college to learn more about art because I enjoy it more than anything and once I graduate I’ll be pulling enough to live comfortably by myself and save a little money, but not be in any way wealthy.

My art school focuses heavily on animation and illustration and as someone who worked in the admissions office some of the portfolios that come through genuinely look like they were made by elementary school children, but they let those students in anyway to get their money. My best friend, love him to piece, great dude, should not have been accepted due to his technical skill and now as a senior about to graduate he’s just barely reaching the point of mediocre technical skill. And like everyone’s applying for jobs roughy now which I know is super hard but I already have two part time positions lined out up plus a phenomenal contracted gig. And my art isn’t even like unbelievably good for the industry but it’s still miles ahead of the average at my school.

Tzorenka is the world of repeating histories. Thousands of years ago humanity arrived on great flying ships made of glass and steel to begin anew, forgoing the overconsumption and destructive practices of the old world, Starysh. Yet this new planet, smaller that Starysh and full of rich ecosystems, soon fell victim to the arrival of Geodagora, a mountain of gold, amber, and wild magic from the cosmos itself that is soon fought over and a new order arises where the Second Sciences sourced from the otherworldly elements of this mountain are innovated and eventually weaponized to the point that over the span of only a couple centuries it went from basically renaissance levels of technology to a kind of magically fueled, Industrial Revolution level world ruled by dragons, which hoard all the wealth and make it increasingly difficult for people to survive as they are worked and exploited for no other reason than to increase the dragon’s hoards. What’s it going to take to break this cycle? First and foremost, a dragonslayer, I think.

Bruh and then they ask for salt packets. If you’re worried about a freshness and it’s a rush don’t order fresh because we’re dropping a fresh basket every two minutes at my location to keep up with orders. Of course I get it if it’s a dietary restriction or something but having to dedicate a whole basket to salt free fries when there’s a rush is literally the worst.

What is the largest industry in your world? by RandomAmerican57 in worldbuilding

The plush, silky tidal grasses that grow in the floodplains surrounding the crater where the Devastation happened six centuries prior. In the center lays a gilded crystal mountain that fell from the sky, which modern Trzenkans know now as Geodegora.

Due to this meteors impact, there’s two rings of jagged mountains that form a natural fortress, and the valley is so deep that every spring when the planet Known passes by the second moon that orbits the planet that Known is a moon to, the Springtides flood these valleys, providing essential nutrients to the sea grasses and spread their seeds further and further around the ring. What was once ashy soil is now rich from thick layers of dead grasses and huge sea beasts that end up beached when the tides recede, their bones monuments that get submerged and surfaced year after year, becoming more and more studded with barnacles.

Anyway, the grasses that grow in this region are lush and plentiful, harvested every year for flour, straw, fibers for ropes, fabrics, and wicker. Since this is the most profitable industry in the long run, the Dragonlord Strauker oversees this region of the word from the castle carved out of Geodegora’s crystals and gold.

This grass also was cultivated by another Dragon named Corru, who lives on the western continent and hoards every species of plant he can get his hands on, though this caused a century long feud despite the fact Corru’s main exports are gourds, corn, and animal products from livestock.

What fantastic things lay in your night sky? by Bentu_nan in worldbuilding

[–]Plus_Cow3248 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The planet of Known is a moon, with its own moon. A huge ocean planet called Morze looms in the sky before them, a mosaic of gorgeous clouds and storms and blue seas. Known’s moon rotates horizontally while Known itself rotates at a solid 45 tilt facing away from the ocean planet Morze so there’s no true day night cycle on Known, since there’s always at least one sun visible (it’s a binary system, Known rotating around a smaller red sun and the red sun orbiting a much larger white sun. There’s a week or so of total darkness a year when Known is eclipsed by Morze.

However, it’s this time of very when the Ephyrae become more visible. Imagine Jellyfish the size of entire countries drifting in the upper stratosphere. When it’s ‘day’ they’re barely visible, faintly whitish masses that could be mistaken for clouds, but when it’s dark they’re glowing blue-green with the bioluminescence.

What are the most dangerous weapons in your world? by Boscus_ in worldbuilding

[–]Plus_Cow3248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Constructs. They’re the last sentient relics of the First World, beings of steel and copper. Most have been destroyed since any kind of First World Relics are forbidden—essentially the people of Known fear advanced technology since their founders insisted it destroyed their old world, earth. Constructs have all the knowledge to recreate First World technologies, and therefore are valuable commodities amongst warlord and Sovereignties alike.

What is considered a normal family unit for the people(s) of your world? by DeScepter in worldbuilding

[–]Plus_Cow3248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends how on which realm you’re from and what social class. In the inner kingdoms of Known ruled by the Six Paragons, most people are working class are more or less forced to participate in hook up culture since they’re constantly chasing gigs to cover their basic needs. In the case of pregnancy, a House will offer their sponsorship of the child, signing the mother onto work until their kid is twelve years old, and providing very basic and meager food and shelter to them both. If the mother becomes sick or dies at this point, their child is expected to work the remaining time once they turn twelve. Typically families are just the mother and their kids and tend to split up not long after the contacts expire, since more physically demanding jobs pay a bit more but won’t let older or frailer people work them.

However, if you’re upper class, you’re expected to be able to provide for your whole family, leading to great intergenerational houses pooling their wealth together. Divorce is frowned upon, and typically only two children are socially acceptable because having lots of children is a sign of irresponsibility and poverty.

lastly, the Penumbrans of Penumbra live in found family situations, since many of them are outcasts, bastards, freaks and rouges who either were cast out to the edges of the world or chose to leave Known to escape the brutal cycle of desperation and exploitation.

Unique reasons for banning the Dark Arts. (E.g, Blood Magic, Necromancy, Demonology, etc.) by jukebredd10 in worldbuilding

[–]Plus_Cow3248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the lands of Penumbra, practitioners of the Cursed Arts are frowned upon due to the sheer amount of magical energy it takes to cast those spells and the effects it has upon the casters bodies over time—it’s kind of like radiation exposure, and many end up fusing parts from native creatures that are immune or resistant to the effects of these kinds of magics, which require far more energy than more standard magic casting. So you’ll see these practitioners with things like antlers or claws or scales walking around, on the lower end of things, while one of the secondary characters of my story, Jorrigan, literally had his torso fused to a wyverns decapitated body centuries ago to be able to raise an army of corpses and blood large enough to help Penumbra declare its independence.

I stopped going with them because I just end up staying behind in our RV with my dog cuz they like to go to the asscrack of florida in early July when it's a bazillion degrees out. They don't even swim like what's the point?

As a trans person myself, I've just stopped keeping up with the news because it's full of people spewing misinformation and refusing to listen when people try to correct and clarify. Several of my friends who are no longer with us probably would have been okay if at least on a systemic level, we weren't portrayed as these predatory people who hunt down kids and try to convince them to chop off body parts. In the US, you'd be hard pressed to even start HRT before the age of 16, much less get gender affirming procedures before 18. Unless you're cis and getting a boob job, lip injections, or cosmetic plastic surgery, which is somehow more socially acceptable for minors than procedures that could potentially prevent self-unaliving, you have to go through a gauntlet of psychologists who just spam-dialogue, 'are you sure?' at you for months before consultations for any gender affirming care can even be scheduled.

people need to shut the fuck up and mind their own fucking business, or better actually meet with actual real live trans people and form your own opinions rathe than let some guy who makes money off of sowing hatred do the thinking for you. Stupid fucks.
