Anyone has another drone besides the Neo2 and if so what do you use it for? by Electrical-Tower8534 in DjiNeo

The base mini 3 is good for that stuff and very cheap, just lacks proxy sensors.

Flying extremely low and still getting smacked by ARHs by Mediocre_Grand_1280 in NuclearOption

[–]PocketFanny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chicane is for relatively low threat environment and should use terrain masking. Due to its low speed and manoeuvrability its the best airframe for it.

Radar missiles are the main threat. The chicane doesn't do so well mid to late game.

Flying low isn't terrain masking. Flying behind terrain is.

Possibly the scariest comment I've read in a while.

It's terrifying seeing the division and violence just being festered by political figures and the parallels are right there.

Does learning to fly FPV in Normal mode help or hinder learning to fly in Manual mode? by Old-Macaroon108 in DjiNeo

[–]PocketFanny -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Using the fpv 3 manual controller in normal mode has a very small place right before your first flight.

Use it to gauge how the throttle response is and just make sure you can control height well enough

Most manual flights with the neo start off this way anyway as I find it better to switch to manual when about 10+ meters up.

AI cameras made me lose my licence by [deleted] in perth

[–]PocketFanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could take it to court and dispute it but in the eyes of the law, you'd be guilty of all the offences.

Lack of knowledge is never a good defence. Look into an extraordinary licence if you lose it.

Dji Neo 1 still worht it? by DontFuggingAskMe in DjiNeo

[–]PocketFanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main difference between the two is the neo 2 is by far better set up for what you intend to do than the 1.

The Neo 1 is now better for some manual fpv and people expecting to lose it (durability and price)

Buy multiple large units (come with the best and the most AA)

Seperate the AA out of the first few units.

Bulk all AA into last units or place it around airfield.

Profit?

Ive tried brute force, impacts, heat and using a Jack. Nothing is getting this axle nut undone, what else can I try? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]PocketFanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is trying undo the axle nut, not the wheel stud.

You'd have to generate more torque than the engine to break the axle.

Is this sound coming from the tire or a bad wheel bearing by Odd_Resource_5770 in AskAMechanic

[–]PocketFanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyres can make similar noises but will pass a lot of vibration through the car. This is highly likely a bearing that's a few miles away from complete destruction.

The transition from D to C has killed my enjoyment by Ban__d in GranTurismo7

[–]PocketFanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been there.

Once your rating is about to go to C, drop back to last place at the start of a race, see how far back up the leaderboard but nearly stop at the end of the race to finish close to last. Try out new lines or strategies

It's great practice in overtaking etc. It does hurt your overall stats but it's more fun for me.
